Samantha Power has warned against "provocations" at Jerusalem's Temple Mount, calling on "all sides to respect the status quo of this holy site" but making no mention of recent Palestinian rioting there. Pyongyang pointed to the recent statement that former U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta wrote in his new memoirs. Panetta wrote that the U.S. planned to use nuclear weapons "if necessary" in the event of a North Korean invasion of South Korea.
