We will never face circumstances that can cause a loss of trust in our position within God’s family, if we are truly saved. The above statements are not validated by God’s Word. On the contrary, they’re propagated by the father of lies—the wicked one who stalks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he might devour.And I must confess to myself—and to you—that I have sensed the tempter’s whisper into my own ear lately. It goes something like, “Look around you. In every direction, things are growing ever darker. Think on these things and believe these conditions will growinfinitely worse, as Heaven taking action just isn’t in sight.” This is my thought, even though I write about all of the strangeness I observe that is transpiring at this time so near the end of the age. I then reason that our Lord wouldn’t charge me withthe business of correlating issues and events with end-of-the-age prophecy if there wasn’t the best possible end to it all at some glorious point in the future. One sentence from Scripture almost always emerges in my thinking to replace the depression begun from that whisper from the evil one: “Comfort one another with these words.” The most prominent placement of this statement in God’s Holy Word is where the promise of the glorious end of these evil days for believers is presented. And what a presentation it is! For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive andremain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18) So it was the other morning when I began my day with a number of thoughts about the depressing things going on in the world. Paul’s great prophetic utterance above, ending with the comfortingexhortation, finally emerged near the surface of my aging gray matter. Then the thought struck that obliterated the depression the minion whispering earlier intended to inflict to ruin my day. The words of “Blessed Assurance” burst into my memory–melody and all. The Holy Spirit brought to mind that great old hymn I’ve heard all my life. You may have heard and sung it, too. And what a remembrance it was; what a comforting truth it delivered! Depressionfrom all the oppression that dark region of Satan’s realm could fling had no chance of surviving that burst of “Blessed Assurance”! Here are the lyrics to remind all of us of the magnificent future we believers in Christ have as inheritors of all of the heavenly riches that belong to Jesus Himself. Yet all the wickedness we observe fades in the brightness of the Lord Jesus’ promise to call us into His presence at any moment. We have blessed assurance that we will not face the concluding seven hell-on-earth years marked by Antichrist’sregime or face the wrath and judgment of the righteous God of Heaven. We will be in Jesus’ Father’s house–which is our house, too (John 14:1–3), because of what Jesus did on that old rugged cross at Calvary. As that old hymn, “Blessed Assurance,” says, we who are in God’s family are heirs…heirs of salvation and all of Heaven’s glory. So, as we’re thinking about what Jesus has done for us, we can cast aside the depression–the oppression—Satan desires to inflict. All of this brings to mind another hymn with lines that expresshow Christ’s work on that cross and His Resurrection give us blessed assurance. This hymn tells us what we should be doing to do the work assigned us while we’re on earth: Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace. If you don’t have that blessed assurance because you’ve never accepted God’s grace gift offer of salvation through belief in His Son, Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain from the foundation of theworld, here is how to be part of God’s eternal family: That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness;and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9–10)

God is Good, and Satan is Evil. Of course, this battle isn’t one we can see with our eyes. It’s a spiritual battle that hasbeen raging since Satan rebelled against God. We can feel the battle, and there are times that it manifests in the natural world, but the battle is supernatural. This world and all of humanity is the battlefield. Sometimes it seems as if evil is winning. Especially in this day and age, when all manner of evil and wickedness have been legalized, and if a person speaks out against the insanity, thatperson is labeled a “hater.” How can we hold on? I really don’t know how people cope if they don’t know Jesus. He is the Rock of our salvation and our strength in times of trouble. We certainly have trouble today. “ I will love thee, O LORD, my strength, The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and myhigh tower” (Psalm 18:1-2). Fear can cripple us and is a weapon of the enemy, but when we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is with us, we have nothing to fear. He is our fortress. There have been troubled times throughout history, and Martin Luther lived during troubled times. He was born in 1483, became an Augustinian monk in 1505, and was ordained as a priest in 1507.The Roman Catholic Church had/has many false teachings, and Luther began to reject things like “indulgences.” He tried to reason and discuss the issues he had but to no avail. Pope Leo X demanded Luther renounce the ideas he set forth in the Ninety-five Theses.Luther refused and was excommunicated. What heresy could have caused him to be excommunicated and declared a criminal? He spoke about grace through faith in Jesus alone. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). He angered the pope by believing Scripture above the pope’s decrees. He believed that the Bible was the only divine revelation from God. He also considered all true Christians to be priests. “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:5). Luther read Scripture and believed it. Brothers and sisters, this is a very important point to understand. No matter what your preacher preaches, if it disagrees with Scripture, he is wrong.Sadly, Luther was also antisemitic, so use discernment if you study his life and teachings. Martin Luther trusted the Lord through all of his hard times and wrote hymns that encourage and strengthen our faith. As Christians, we need to look to God as our mighty fortress in theseevil times in which we live. We must stand strong on God’s truth rather than fall for Satan’s lies. A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR GOD Words by Martin Luther A mighty fortress is our God, A bulwark never failing; Our helper he, amid the flood Of mortal ills prevailing For still our ancient foe Does seek to work us woe; His craft and power are great, And armed with cruel hate, On earth is not his equal. Satan has always tried to put fear and confusion into the minds and hearts of those who look to the Lord for strength. We see it so much in the Psalms of David. He faced many battles, evenbefore he became king. At a young age, he fought a bear and a lion, which prepared him to fight the giant Goliath. King Saul tried many times to kill him. After David became king, he fought many foes, including his own son. David always turned to the Lordfor strength. “For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name’s sake lead me, and guide me” (Psalm 31:3). God never failed David, nor will the Lord fail us in our times of battle. Spiritual battles are hard because the enemy is unseen and attacks our minds to draw us from our God. Remember, Godis our rock and fortress, not our enemy. Many Christians aren’t armed for a spiritual battle. Pastors seem to ignore our mortal enemy and choose to preach “feel good” sermons. There is a vicious spiritual battle raging, and looking at the news headlines, Christiansare failing God in the battle and siding with Satan. Pastors need to stop tickling ears and start arming the soldiers for battle. Turn to Scripture for God’s truth, and then don’t be ashamed to stand upon His truth. “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell” (Matthew 10:28). Seeker-friendly preachers won’t tell you that it’s God who can destroy body and soul in Hell. All they preach is “God is love.” He is love. Like sugar is sweet and water is wet, God is love.It’s His nature to love. He doesn’t send us to Hell, but by rejecting Jesus Christ for salvation, we send ourselves to Hell. Still, God has “rules,” and if we reject the only way of Salvation, then we have made our choice. When we accept the sacrifice thatJesus made on the Cross, the Holy Spirit is sealed within us, and salvation is secure. “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, which isthe earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory” (Ephesians 1:13-14). If your profession of faith was earnest, then the Holy Spirit is sealed inside you, and your salvation is secure. Did we in our own strength confide Our striving would be losing, Were not the right Man on our side, The Man of God’s own choosing. You ask who that may be? Christ Jesus, it is he; Lord Sabaoth his name, From age to age the same; And he must win the battle. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. Christianity is not a religion; it is faith. Faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, thetruth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). It’s not by our own strength that we can accomplish anything for God. It is only through Jesus. He fulfilled the Law and the Prophets. We are no longer under the Law of Moses, but that doesn’tmean the Law is null and void. We still have the moral law of God. In Christ we have rest and no longer have to do works to try to save ourselves. “And he said unto them, ‘The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath. Therefore the Son of man is the Lord also of the sabbath” (Mark 2:27-28). And though this world, with devils filled, Should threaten to undo us, We will not fear, for God has willed His truth to triumph through us. The prince of darkness grim, We tremble not for him; His rage we can endure, For lo! His doom is sure; One little word shall fell him. Do you doubt there are demons in this world? Scripture tells us they are real. Jesus cast out many demons from people. Paul also cast them out. I have no doubt that all of the Apostles andthose who followed their teachings also cast them out. These evil spirits are in the world today. Too often, their handiwork is named as a medical condition. Drugs weaken our minds, so these demons can possess people. Satan had a field day in the 1960s. Many people smoked pot or used some other mind-altering drug. LSD was very popular. Since that time, the moral decay around the world has been incredible.We cannot battle Satan or his minions on our own. We get attacked by Satan in many ways. He may confuse your mind, like he confused Eve, and cause you to doubt God’s truth. Another way demons can take control of you is through Yoga, which is designed to open “chakras” and release the kundalini spirit in you. A person is encouraged to clear their mind. This opens you to any passing spirit that might want to take possession of you. We are to meditate on our Lord, filling our hearts and minds with His Holy Spiritand His love. “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation,to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all” (1 Timothy 4:12-15). The more you think about God and all that He has done, the harder it is for Satan to confuse and control you. Satan will never stop trying to destroy God’s people, but the battle was won onthe Cross. Believe in Him and resist the wiles of the devil. “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Not by your strength, but by God’s power. That Word above all earthly powers No thanks to them abideth; The Spirit and the gifts are ours Through him who with us sideth. Let goods and kindred go, This mortal life also; The body they may kill; God’s truth abideth still His kingdom is forever! God’s word is above all, and He never changes. Satan is attacking so many things that God sees as precious. Marriage between a man and a woman is ordained by Him, but today it’s being perverted.Children are special to Him, but many people see it as a woman’s right to murder the baby in the womb. Children are taught evolution instead of truth, and you can read in the first chapter of Romans to see what depravity that leads to, and it’s “legalized” today. When we understand that we are sinners on the road to eternal damnation, that’s when we realize we need Jesus. “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and thatwhich is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee Ye must be born again” (John 3:5-7). God’s truth never changes. In order to enter into His eternal kingdom, you must be born again. That takes faith. Faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. When you realizeyou’re a sinner, you must repent of your sins. If you’re a person who gossips or lies, repent and change your mind about these sins. If you’re a man who has sexual encounters with other men, repent and turn from that sin. Same goes for women. If you have anysexual encounters outside of a one man/one woman marriage, repent and ask God to forgive your sin. God’s grace and forgiveness are a blessing, but if you continue sinning, then you haven’t earnestly given your life to Christ. “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1). The choice to repent and live for Christ may cause family to disown you. Jesus didn’t come to make life easy. In fact, faith in Him may cause much friction in your family. “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, andthe daughter in law against her mother in law. And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household” (Matthew 10:34-36). Don’t pick a fight with your family and friends, but don’t deny your Lord. The spiritual battle is real, but we have a mighty fortress that will never fail; Jesus Christ is our fortress. God provides the spiritual weapons for the spiritual battle we are fighting.Study them in Ephesians chapter 6. “Finally my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the evil” (Ephesians 6:10-11). Use these weapons to fight against the wickedness; don’t fight for Satan. The evil in this world is all caused by Satan; he is pure evil. You cannot win a battle with him by yourself. Godis your fortress. Stand firm upon His word without wavering. He is your fortress in times of battle. “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to theglory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:10-11). Jesus Himself gave the prophecy as part of the Olivet Discourse while sitting with His disciples overlooking the Temple Mount: And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation… (Matthew 24:6–7). The prophecy we need to look at in this fascinating time in history is Jesus’ statement that “nation will rise against nation” in an unprecedented way just before He returns to set up HisMillennial Kingdom on earth. When giving only a cursory glance at these words, we think that, yes, that’s certainly true. Many a nation has risen against another nation just during the past several decades. There have been many wars, and other wars are looming.But, is this the kind of “nation against nation” reference Jesus specifically gave? To answer this, we must look at the Greek language–the language from which the New Testament was translated into English. Jesus was in actuality saying these uprisings would be unusual inthat they would be based in ethnos–the Greek word for “nation.” They would be ethnic in origin. They would pit ethnic, or racial, group against ethnic group. It is equally true that ethnic factors have been the cause of many wars throughout the centuries. The Arabs and Jews–as a matter of fact, many ethnic peoples against the Jews—marked the conflictsof Old Testament times. Almost without exception, those early wars were “ethnic” in origin. Things haven’t changed. Arabs and Jews still have the ethnos factor at the heart of their differences. And, never in history has the conflict been more virulent. Israel is hated like no otherpeople—and by almost all of the nations of the world. The Islamic nations—mostly Arab—are blood-vowed to push the Jews into the Mediterranean Sea and wipe the Jewish race from the planet. Some Arab leaders of the past and other leaders–e.g., Iranian leaders—continueto want all Jews expunged from the region, and even off the planet, as we hear incessantly through their protesting US college-campus minions. They have made it their national policy through their oratorical invectives. There have been conflicts in the centuryjust passed involving peoples of the Caucuses, the Balkans, etc., and horrific slaughters in Africa and other places–all based upon ethnic differences. Now, this hemisphere is experiencing the burgeoning effects of ethnic conflict. The invasion of illegal aliens from points at US borders north as well as south, welcomed by a presidentialadministration that seems conjoined to the globalist intention to bring America into compliance with their New World Order aspirations, is threatening to erupt into violence within even smaller cities. This invasion affecting even the smaller towns is easily discernable through reports like the following: At this moment, there is a tremendous amount of discussion on social media about what is happening in the city of Springfield, Ohio. The Haitian population of Springfield has become very large, and Newsweek is reporting that it is being alleged that “some of these people have been killing and eating folks’ pets”… Springfield, which had a population of around 60,000, has recently been at the center of the immigration debate, with its Haitian community growing to between 15,000 and 20,000 over the lastfour years, according to city officials. The past few days have seen locals report that some of these people have been killing and eating folks’ pets… At a recent city commission meeting, one local resident was literally begging for officials to do something. He claimed that migrants are “grabbing up ducks by their neck” and “eating them”… “I really challenge you guys to get out here and do something,” he told the meeting. “These Haitians are running into trash cans, running into buildings…they’re flipping cars in the middle of the streets…” The man added: “They’re in the park, grabbing up ducks by their neck, and cutting their head off and walking off with them. They’re eating them.” (“Are they really eating our pets?”, RaptureReady News, September 10, 2024) Point is, Jesus said that a great, swelling uprising involving ethnic strife would grow to be a major crisis during the Tribulation era–that last seven years just before He returns to putan end to all of the conflicts at Armageddon (Revelation 19:11). This ethnic eruption we’re witnessing each day in our headlines is something to watch closely, so far as being observant for prophetic end-times signals is concerned. The unrest constitutesyet another indicator of where this generation might stand on God’s prophetic timeline. We can say with a degree of certainty based upon study of God’s Word, and belief in the pre-Trib Rapture of Christ’s Church, that because of the burgeoning ethnic unrest,in conjunction with all of the other indicators we see interjecting themselves with growing intensity and frequency, Jesus’ shout, “Come up here!” can’t be far distant. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Of course, I refer to the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France. Much has been written about them. They opened with a rider on a white horse seeming to announcethe arrival of the Antichrist. The organizers, and not the athletes, seemed to cheer him on. Clearly, the brains behind the outfit are a bunch of one-worlders who see the world as a global entity. They see us hurtling towards a sinister agenda. And worst of all, Olympic organizers and their creative geniuses, were Satan’s useful idiots to advertise for him and to promote his kingdom. Back in 2021, I wrote an article titled Anticipating the Antichrist and how America, particularly, is preparing for his any-day-arrival. Here we are in 2024 and the world is doing that evenmore enthusiastically. Not believers. We’re anticipating the return of Jesus. But the secular and pagan world is cheering for the arrival of the “man of lawlessness” (2 Thess. 2). Book Ends of Blasphemy and Debauchery The Olympics featured book ends of mockery. Their opening and closing ceremonies took inclusion and DEI to new levels. There was a prayer to Zeus. A golden calf was featured. Fallen angelswere celebrated. Drag queens mocked the Last Supper. Demons seemed to be center stage. Jesus was mocked and portrayed by a lesbian. Scene after scene reflected blasphemy and debauchery—with a small child observing it all. We are in an all-out war. A spiritual war. Christians are fair game. Islam, Mohammed, and the Koran are not. But even nonChristians could not help but comment on the fact that rituals andceremonies were suspiciously dark and even Satanic. It wasn’t subtle. It was blatant— in your face. Are You Seeing the Pattern? No, it was nothing new. We saw it at just some of the following: •In New York City in 2015 when the goddess Kali was displayed on the Empire State Building. •At the Gotthard Base Tunnel ceremony in Switzerland in 2016. •In the Commonwealth Games of 2022 which featured a woman riding a beast—a bull—with many bowing down before them. •In endless Grammy Award ceremonies. •In many Super Bowl half-time performances. World Leaders: A Bridge Too Far World leaders often mock anything to do with God but as it concerns the activity in Paris this summer, many were in unity, denouncing these godless, pagan actions. You didn’t have to be arightwing fundamentalist, or conspiracy theorist, to say they should have pulled the plug on whoever was the creative artist. Satan wants to be glorified, and he wants to always remind the world that his kingdom is waiting in the wings. And he’s got legions of clueless, blind people who are willing co-conspirators.They may be laughing now, but one day, they will be wailing and pleading for mercy. It will be too late. Channeling Ancient Babylon Darkness is loved, while light is being ardently and actively hated. It isn’t enough for people to just revel in the darkness, they want to showcase it on the world’s stage and celebrate it.Surely, ancient Babylon operated in like manner. John 3:19-20 says, “And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wickedthings hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.” Satan’s Short-Lived Kingdom This is not all bad news. It means that Satan is trying to rush his kingdom with good press releases. Here’s the good news: His kingdom is a laughing stock compared to what God has plannedfor those who love and serve Him in the days and years ahead. “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” (I Corinthians 2:9). God’s kingdom is out of this world. No words can describe it. Things are wrapping up. They’re falling into place. Be encouraged.

But in reality, the commandments of God are freely chosen and if obeyed leadto a life of liberty rather than one of bondage. In Deuteronomy 27:9-10, Moses and the priests tell the people, “Be quiet and listen, Israel! Today you have become the people of the LORD your God. Therefore you are to listen to what the LORD your God saysand obey his commandments and laws, which I am giving you today.” The commands contain the Hebrew word “shema,” which means to hear, listen, internalize and respond. Shema is used 92 times in Deuteronomy and its deeper meaning is very unique. Shema means to not just hear, but become what you are hearing. When we imitate God, we are internalizing the values and virtues He relates to us. Rabbi Maimonides, considered among the foremostcommentators on Judaism, said it well, “The pinnacle of the moral life, to which we all aspire, is to do what is right because it is right, because that is what it is to walk in God’s ways.” The commands are more than a list of do’s and don’ts, God gives reasonsfor the commands, throughout the book of Deuteronomy. Many of the reasons have to do with being slaves in Egypt. So they know what it feels like to be oppressed, and an outsider. There also is a connection between Genesis 1, the story of creation, and thelaws of holiness. The world ridicules the laws against the mixing of meat and milk, wool and linen, not plowing an ox with a donkey, etc., But they are about respecting God’s ordained order. These are not justdivine decrees, but also practical, even life-giving. During His earthly ministry, Jesus taught from the Torah and read the haftarah portions in the synagogue. He repeatedly affirmed the central teaching of the Torah, the Shema—”Hear O Israel,” which thenbeckons the response of duty to love God above all else (Deuteronomy 6:4-6; Mark 12:29). Jesus, through His sacrifice, ratified the New Covenant in His blood (Matthew 26:28). In Jeremiah 31:31-33, the LORD promises to make a New Covenant and write it on ourhearts that He shall be our God and we, His people. 2 Corinthians 3:6-9 says, “He has made us competent to be workers serving a New Covenant, the essence of which is not a written text, but the Spirit. For the written text brings death, butthe Spirit gives life.” In other words, the Old Covenant was given on Sinai because of transgressions until the Messiah came (Galatians 3:19). The problem was not with the law, but with men’s hearts. Romans 8:1-11 explains that the spiritual rebirth of the “heart of flesh” is the God-given power to walk in love which transcends the law and its regulations. Romans 8:2 says, “The law of the Spirit of life, has set us free from the law of sin and death” and verse 4 says walking in the Spirit fulfills the righteousnessof the law in us through faith. Let us hear the LORD and become what we hear that we may be set apart and free from the world’s concept of do’s and don’ts.

But my personal opinion is that it is not a coincidence that this comet has appeared at this specific momentin history. In this article, I am going to share some truly remarkable things that I have discovered about this comet, and that will include some things that I did not learn until today. In Genesis 1:14, the Bible specifically tells us that one of the reasons why God created the lights in the heavens was because He intended to use them as “signs”… 14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years And in Luke chapter 21, Jesus warned us that there would be “signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars” in the days prior to His return. So anyone that attempts to claim that events in the heavens never have any meaning is directly contradicting the Bible. All throughout human history, there have been important signs in the heavens. And now the “Comet of the Century” is here. This comet’s official designation is “comet C/2023 A3”, but it is also known as Tsuchinshan-ATLAS, and right now people all over the Internet are talking about it… Unless you’ve been on a hiking holiday in Outer Mongolia for the past year you’ve probably heard that there’s going to be a “bright comet” in the sky next month. It’s everywhere! It’s called comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS), and you’re likely to be hearing a lot about it over the coming weeks. Already you can’t go on social media without seeing half a dozen news stories announcing “the comet of the century is coming!” illustrated with an AI-generated graphic showing a brilliantball of light with a glowing tail stretched out behind it. The reason why the comet’s official designation has “2023” in it is because it was originally discovered in early 2023… As always, the name of the comet itself reveals important details about it, its official name is C/2023 A3 and proceeding in order the letter C indicates that it is a non-periodic comet, thenumber 2023 that was discovered in 2023, the letter A that its first observation took place in the first half of January and finally the number 3 indicates that it was the third object discovered in that same period. In reality, however, the official confirmationof the discovery of this comet took place on February 22, 2023. We have now reached the time when it will start to become visible in the sky in the northern hemisphere, and that is very exciting. According to an article that was posted by Wired, it was being projected that the date when the comet would shine the brightest would be October 2nd… C/2023 A3 will shine in the northern hemisphere sky from September 27 and will remain visible until the last week of October. During this period, the comet will reach its minimum distancefrom the sun, before beginning its journey back out of the solar system. According to the specialized blog Cometography, the day when C/2023 A3 will shine the brightest will be October 2. The comet’s tail will be long and spectacular at this point due to its proximityto the sun. As I discussed in a previous article, Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on October 2nd. In addition, there will also be a “ring of fire” solar eclipse on October 2nd. So on Rosh Hashanah the “Comet of the Century” will be the brightest at the exact same time that a spectacular “ring of fire” eclipse is appearing in the sky. That is quite a “coincidence”. There will only be two solar eclipses during 2024. The first was the Great American Eclipse on April 8th, and the second will be the “ring of fire” eclipse on October 2nd. The “ring of fire” eclipse will only be visible for a very short time, but the “Comet of the Century” will continue to be visible throughout much of October. On October 9th and 10th, the comet will “pass almost directly between Earth and the Sun”… Thanks to pure good fortune, comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS) will then pass almost directly between Earth and the Sun on October 9 and 10. This could cause a spectacular brightening of the comet, thanks to “forward scattering” caused by its dust. Imagine looking towards a bright light source through a cloud of dust grains. Thegrains nearest to the light source will scatter light from the source back towards you. If conditions are just right, and right now we don’t know if that will be the case or not, there is a possibility that this comet could actually become visible during daylight hours for ashort period of time… As the comet swings between Earth and the Sun, it will be perfectly placed for this forward scattering process to occur. If the comet is particularly dusty, this could cause its apparent brightnessto increase by up to 100 times. If it does, there’s a small chance the comet could briefly become visible in the daylight sky on October 9 and 10. We won’t know for sure if this will actually happen until then, but if it does happen it will make news all over the globe. Subsequently, “the Comet of the Century” will come closest to our planet on October 12th… By the time C/2023 A3 passes closest to Earth on Oct. 12, skywatchers can find it in the evening sky, shortly after sunset. It turns out that Yom Kippur just happens to fall on October 12th this year. That’s right. The “Comet of the Century” will be closest to Earth on one of the most important days on God’s prophetic calendar. But I suppose that is just a “coincidence” too. We are being told that the comet will appear to “rapidly climb in the western sky” and will become “a bright, naked-eye object for a few days” starting on Yom Kippur… After swinging between Earth and the Sun, the comet will appear in the evening sky. It will rapidly climb in the western sky, and should be a bright, naked-eye object for a few days from October12. The sliders below will give you a sense of where to look. For the first few days of this period, the comet will still benefit from the forward scattering of sunlight, but this will decrease as it moves away. Could this comet be a sign of war? We are so close to the unthinkable, and it appears that there will be no turning back now. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has announced that his nation “will continue to fight against the Hezbollah terrorist organization with all our strength until victory and the safe returnof the residents of the north to their homes.” That means that all-out war is coming. And as I write this article we are only about 40 days away from the most pivotal presidential election in any of our lifetimes. At this point, everyone should be able to see that we are entering a period of extreme chaos. But a lot of people out there have not wanted to listen to any of the warnings, and they certainly are not interested in any signs in the sky. That is extremely unfortunate, because none of us will be able to avoid what is soon coming upon this planet.

We all must do our part to ensure that this incident does not lead to more violence. I am thankful that former President Trump is safe.” But who isdog whistling more violence? On many occasions since Biden and Harris took office, they have used political rhetoric that encourages the type of third world violence we have witnessed against Trump. A main DemocraticParty campaign theme has been that Trump is a threat to Democracy, wants to be a dictator, compares with Hitler, and that he and his supporters are extremists. Just days before the first assassination attempt on Trump, Biden said it was time to put Trump ina bullseye. In fact, Democratic Party campaign tweets said “Trump Parrots Hitler” and used Trump’s and Hitler’s faces juxtaposed with quotes from each. Never mind that Trump’s quotes were taken out of context. The mainstream news media has amplified the rhetoricrepeatedly. Hollywood leftists are quoted ad nauseum parroting the Hitler theme. Democratic elected officials are quoted repeatedly saying that Trump supporters are extremists and that Trump is a threatto Democracy. The theme has been constant. And when called out on it, Democratic Party propaganda shills like the Washington Post, blame it on Trump, implying that his rhetoric is what has caused all the violence. In a September 18 article, the WashingtonPost wrote: “Trump is blaming his Democratic opponents, declaring this week, as Sunday’s incident is still under investigation that “their rhetoric is causing me to be shot at”…there is no evidence that Vice President Kamala Harris or President Joe Biden specificallyinspired the attack.” The Post then wrote how Trump has “often used incendiary language to describe his rivals.” There is one thing that is true—Trump is a threat to the Democratic Party’s form of “democracy.” It is a dangerous path to totalitarianism. Just look at how the “democrats” selected theirpresidential candidate—they essentially fomented a coup against a sitting president and installed a replacement who received absolutely no primary votes. That is a strong indicator. Also, the history of assassinations in communist countries against opponentsof those in charge is commonplace with the incumbents always denouncing political violence while claiming their opponents want to destroy “democracy.” The pattern is undeniable. And it is here in America today. As the Lord said in Matthew 24:4, “Take heedthat no man deceive you.” What these politicians accuse others of doing, they themselves are doing. Who, therefore, is the real threat?

Antisemitism expert Olivier Melnick would undoubtedly beg to differ, highlighting recently the vast scriptural evidence “validating the claims of Zionism.” “From the biblical record, starting in Genesis, it can easily be argued that God Himself was the first Zionist,” Melnick underscored. “It hasn’t changed and never will. Those who fight orreject Zionism are fighting and/or rejecting God. Incidentally, He doesn’t want anybody to perish, and He certainly has the same love and compassion for both Jews and Arabs and so should we. Being a Zionist doesn’t mean that one is a racist or a colonizer.” Wikipedia also recently voted to rename its page “Allegations of genocide in the 2023 Israeli attack on Gaza” to “Gaza genocide.” The editors argued that the claims of so-called “genocide” in Gaza are a “settled fact.” One of the “experts” cited by the editors was United Nations special rapporteur Francesca Albanese, who has faced strong condemnation by Israel, the United States, Germany, France, and othersfor her long history of repeating antisemitic tropes—including her distortion of the holocaust and recent comparison of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler. Policy analyst Aviva Winton, in an opinion piece for the Jerusalem Post, stated that the move by Wikipedia “should, by any reasonable measure, hammer a final nail into the coffin of its credibilityas a reliable source of information about Israel and Jews.” Winton further warned that anti-semitic lies are “being magnified greatly by the activist takeover of Wikipedia.” Artificial intelligence tools have also been programmed to rely on Wikipedia as a primary source of information. That information is then given to users, Winton warned, making it “yet anothermeans by which billions of people are being fed inaccurate research and dangerously skewed narratives about Jews, Jewish history, antisemitism, Israel, and Zionism.” British author and political commentator Douglas Murray recently underscored that anti-Zionism has seemingly branded itself as the only “acceptable form of antisemitism.” “The interesting thing about antisemitism is the Jews can never win because, historically, they’ve been hated for being rich and for being poor,” he stated. “They’ve been hated for integratingand for not integrating. They were hated for being stateless; now, they’re hated for having a state… Zionism is simply the right of the Jews to self-determination in their historic homeland—that’s all.” Amir Tsarfati, Founder and President of Behold Israel, details that “the Zionist vision [was] grounded in God’s Biblical promises.” “The Zionist movement initiated the realization of the long-awaited dream of reestablishing a Jewish Homeland in the land of Israel. Our Hidden Enemy

 Our Hidden Enemy The world is full of dangers. We are under the constant threat of conflict: civil strife, terrorism, and outright war. Crime, too, is a perennial problem, and althoughit tends to be greater in cities, it frequently strikes in rural areas. We must be careful about what we eat, as it may be contaminated with disease or full of harmful chemicals. Speaking of disease, as we well know, lethal pathogens can spread swiftly fromremote areas of the globe even into medically advanced nations. Nor should we discount the perils of natural disasters, accidents, genetic weaknesses, political clashes, and a host of other potentially hazardous circumstances. Yet, one of our greatest enemies lurks within us, poised to bring disaster upon us if we allow it to take control. This devious, corrupt enemy even hides its motives from itself so that its owner does not really know it. It is full of deceit,folly, and incurable corruption, and it often prompts us to act against our best interests before we are even aware we are weakly following its urges. What is this enemy that is so well concealed, evil, and against our own good? Jeremiah 17:9 reveals it to us: "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?" As the Expositor's Commentary points out, "In Old Testament usage, the heart signifies the total inner being and includes reason." The heart is a biblical code word for the way we think, feel, and make decisions. Unfortunately, it is heavily influenced by our bodily needs and desires (which the Biblecalls our flesh), as well as the promptings of Satan the Devil. However, God does not leave us without instruction on how to protect ourselves from our hearts' misguidance. Proverbs 4:23 cautions, "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life." We are to keep or guard the heart with great care and attentiveness, watching over it like a hawk, as it were, because it determines the course of ourlives to a large degree. Guarding the heart is serious business to God. To guard something is to watch over or care for it, to protect it, to control it. A guard must remain vigilant and take precautions not to be surprised by his adversary and to avoid being distracted. If we take this responsibility casually, we are likely to let our diligence slip, and the enemy, our own heart, will break out and causeus harm. Indeed, there is guard duty, and then there is guard duty. While in the military, I pulled guard duty on motor pools, warehouses, and supply depots here in the United States. These areas are relatively safe and well-lit, and should trouble develop,help is just around the corner. But guarding a position on the front line brings an entirely different standard of vigilance to the term "guard." Here, the area is dark, and the enemy may appear at any time with lethal force. Guard duty during a war can require hours of intenselistening for any sound and scanning the darkness to detect any movement that might indicate an approaching enemy. Dozing off, being distracted, and failing to take his duty seriously could well mean death for the guard and for the others who depend on himto do his job of keeping them safe. This is the kind of guard duty required to protect our hearts. Why is guard duty on our hearts so important? Because the heart directs us in all we do. If we are not alert in this culture, where temptation, distraction, and ungodly ideas bombard us constantly, it can lead us to sin and to all of its terrible consequences. In effect, guarding our hearts is where conversion begins and ends. If, with God's help, we can control our hearts, we are well on the pathtoward righteousness and godliness. The heart will justify hatred, prejudice, lust, laziness, anger, revenge, gossip, criticism, resentment, idolatry, murder, theft, deceit, selfishness, and many more evils! It will soften black and white into shades of gray. It will manipulate circumstancesto provide it opportunities to do what it wants. It will play games of "just this once" and "God wants me to be happy." It will patiently erode even the most resolute decision through doubts, temptations, and twisted reasoning. It is a formidable adversary,and thus must be dealt with, as the proverb says, diligently and firmly. Why must we take such a hard line with it? "Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be" (Romans 8:7). For all the years prior to our calling, our hearts, which we trusted, had been programmedin this world by Satan. The heart had had its way, and it had become used to its freedom to sin at will, to fulfill its desires, to get its way. But when God calls us to His way of life, the heart is required to change drastically—to the point that God saysthat He must give us new hearts (see Ezekiel 36:26). Even with the Spirit of God at work within us, the heart will work to do all it can to satisfy itself. Proverbs 4:24-26 lays out the general parameters of what we have to do to stay out of trouble: Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids look right before you. Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. The advice is to control what one says and does and what one allows his eyes to view. In other words, we are to monitor both what comes into our hearts and what we allow our heart to spit out as words and deeds. Jesus says in Mark 7:15, "[T]he things which come out of him, those are the things which defile a man." It is the old "garbage in, garbage out" process. God wants us to reverse this human failing so that it becomes "goodnessin, goodness out." The author writes in Hebrews 6:10-12: For God is not unjust to forget your works and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister. And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, that you do not become sluggish, but imitate thosewho through faith and patience inherit the promises. God is indeed faithful to remember our labor of love toward Him, others, and ourselves in guarding our hearts, an essential duty in transforming our natures to the image of His glorious character. The hope that he mentions is our earnest desirefor and sure expectation of the Kingdom of God. This hope motivates us to keep watch over our minds so we can persist in living righteously to the end of our lives or until the return of Jesus Christ. So, as Paul encourages us, let us not be slothful in our guard duty but show true diligence in warding our heart. Jesus Christ, tempted in all points as we are, lived more than three decades without sin (Hebrews 4:15)! How did Heaccomplish all this? It started with the guarding of His heart. During a three-day visit to Singapore and while attending an interreligious meeting with young people at a Catholic junior college, Pope Francis departed from his prepared remarks and declaredto the gathering that "every religion is a way to arrive at God." He continued, "Sort of a comparison, an example, would be they're sort of like different languages in order to arrive at God." The leader of the world's 1.4 billion Catholics continued along this universalist tack: "But God is God for all. And if God is God for all, we are all sons and daughters of God." He lamented that some argue, "But my God is more important than your God!" and asked, "Is that true?" Answering his own question to the young people, the pontiff finished, There is only one God and each of us has a language, so to speak, in order to arrive at God. Sikh, Muslim, Hindu, Christian. There are different paths. Understand? And the leaders on stage, representing various religions, happily shook their heads in agreement. Reacting to the pontiff's comments, Bishop Joseph Strickland, who oversaw the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tyler, Texas, until his dismissal by the Vatican last year, said in a post on X, "Pleasepray for Pope Francis to clearly state that Jesus Christ is the only Way. To deny this is to deny Him. If we deny Christ, He will deny us, He cannot deny Himself." Strickland was ousted for disagreeing with Francis on the issue of banning pro-abortion Catholic politicians from receiving communion and over the degree to which outreach to the LGBT communityis acceptable in the Catholic Church. A petition created in defense of Strickland last year said he was ousted because he "publicly corrected several heterodox statements from Pope Francis." Jesus didn't say, "Go out and point people toward any random religion or philosophy," nor did he offer any prompt that affirms "all religions are paths to God." The pope's claims simply donot stand up to the Bible's historical and theological narrative -- and even an atheist understands this reality. The proclamation is a head-turning, show-stopping moment considering it slipped from the lips of the man who heads the world's largest Christian denomination. Critics were quick to appropriatelyreact in sheer horror, frustration and with corrective rebuke. If Francis is correct, then Jesus was wrong when He stated, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me" (John 14:6). The false doctrine which Francis proclaimed has been around for centuries. But Jesus did not die on the cross to merely provide "one more way" of getting to God. He died for our sins becauseit was the only way we could be reconciled to our Father in Heaven. "God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them" (2 Corinthians 5:19). It is only through Christ that anyone can be reconciled to the Father. Theresimply is no other way, period. You see, "If righteousness could be gained through the Law, Christ died for nothing" (Galatians 2:21). In other words, if a person could get to God without Christ, the Father would never havesent His only Son to suffer the agony of crucifixion for our salvation. The world wants Christians to embrace the false gospel that Pope Francis unashamedly presented as truth. The world is unable to comprehend the true Gospel. And without the working of the HolySpirit, you and I could never understand and believe the Gospel. Pray for Pope Francis to repent of his false teaching and come to know the true Gospel. This is no minor doctrine but is a foundational issue for every professing believer and every professingchurch body. Francis previously faced criticism and accusations of heresy on social media back in May for claiming the human heart is "fundamentally good" during a "60 Minutes" interview. When asked by interviewer Norah O'Donnell what gives him hope about the world, the pope responded with "everything," citing acts of goodness by people as proof of humanity's inherent goodness. "You see tragedies, but you also see so many beautiful things," he said. "You see heroic mothers, heroic men, men who have hopes and dreams, women who look to the future. That gives me a lotof hope. You might have come across arguments that Israel is an illegitimate country or that it is occupying Palestinianland. Well, I’m here to shed light on the truth backed by historical facts and in international law to understand Israel’s legal status. We must start with the Balfour Declaration of 1917. This groundbreaking statement by the British government pledged support for the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people inPalestine. It marked a significant step towards the realization of the Zionist dream. A dream that the Jewish people have carried in their hearts for centuries through countless prayers and longings for their ancestral Homeland. Fast forward to 1920, when the Allied powers of World War I convened at the San Remo Conference. It was here that they agreed to put the Balfour Declaration into action. This was followed by the League of Nations’ official establishment of the “Mandate for Palestine” in 1922. The Mandate recognized the unbreakable historical connection between the Jewish peopleand the land of, then, “Palestine,” and it called for the establishment of a Jewish National Homeland. Now, I want to draw your attention to a crucial aspect of the Mandate. Article 6 encouraged “close settlement by Jews on the land, including State lands and waste lands not required for publicpurposes.” This means the Jews were granted the legal right to settle anywhere within the mandated territory, which included Judea Samaria and even Gaza. This right was anchored in international law and has never been revoked. But what happened to the Mandate when the League of Nations was dissolved and the United Nations was formed? Did it simply vanish? Absolutely not! The architects of the UN Charter made sureto include Article 80, often referred to as “The Palestine Clause.” This article preserves the rights granted under the Mandate regardless of the League of Nations dissolution. The International Court of Justice, the UN’s principal judicial organ, has reaffirmed the validity of Article 80 on several occasions, in 1950, in 1971, and even as recently as 2004. Renownedlegal scholar Professor Eugene Rostow firmly stated that “the Jewish right of settlement in the whole of Western Palestine, the area west of the Jordan River, survived the end of the British Mandate in 1948.” Some may ask about the rights of the Arabs living in Palestine. Well, the truth is that under the Mandate, Arab political rights were granted in four other territories: Iraq, Lebanon, Trans-Jordan(later Jordan), and Syria. The “Mandate for Palestine” was unique in its focus on securing Jewish political rights. There are those who argue that Israel’s legitimacy is a result of the Holocaust—a form of compensationfor the unimaginable suffering endured by the Jewish people. While the Holocaust undoubtedly added urgency to the need for a Jewish homeland, it is not the legal foundation for Israel’s existence. That foundation rests upon the Balfour Declaration, the SanRemo Resolution, the League of Nations Mandate, and Article 80 of the UN Charter. I often hear people claiming that the Israeli presence in parts of Judea and Samaria, the area known as the “West Bank,” is illegal under International law. Nothing could be further from thetruth. The San Remo Resolution, along with Article 80 of the UN Charter, clearly states that Jews have the right to settle anywhere from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea. This includes all of Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and even Gaza. When I walk through the streets of Jerusalem, I am reminded of the unbreakable bond between the Jewish people and this land. It is a bond that has been recognized and reaffirmed by the InternationalCommunity time and again. It is a bond that no amount of denial or revisionism can sever. The legitimacy of Israel as a state is unsalable under international law. The Jewish people’s right to a national Homeland in Palestine, stretching from the Jordan River to the MediterraneanSea, has been recognized and upheld repeatedly. Those who deny this right are not only denying history but also denying the fundamental principles of international law. Friends, I encourage you to stand firm in the truth, even when it is unpopular. Remember, the God of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4), and He will continue to watch over Hispeople and His land.

The text of the “Pact for the Future” is available online, but hardly anyone will ever read it and many of the most important provisions are buriedtoward the end of the 56 page document. Of course everyone should take the time to actually read this document, because our leaders just committed us to an extremely insidious global agenda that literally covers just about every conceivable area of human activity. September 22nd, 2024 is a day that will go down in infamy. Once the “Pact for the Future” was formally adopted, the following was posted on the official UN website… World leaders today adopted a Pact for the Future that includes a Global Digital Compact and a Declaration on Future Generations. This Pact is the culmination of an inclusive, years-long processto adapt international cooperation to the realities of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The most wide-ranging international agreement in many years, covering entirely new areas as well as issues on which agreement has not been possible in decades, thePact aims above all to ensure that international institutions can deliver in the face of a world that has changed dramatically since they were created. As the Secretary-General has said, “we cannot create a future fit for our grandchildren with a system builtby our grandparents.” You would think that the “most wide-ranging international agreement in many years” would make headlines all over the planet. But that didn’t happen. The UN press release also boldly declares that the “Pact for the Future” will “lay the foundations” for a new “global order”… “The Pact for the Future, the Global Digital Compact, and the Declaration on Future Generations open the door to new opportunities and untapped possibilities,” said the Secretary-General duringhis remarks at the opening of the Summit of the Future. The President of the General Assembly noted that the Pact would “lay the foundations for a sustainable, just, and peaceful global order – for all peoples and nations.” The Pact covers a broad range of issues including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, digital cooperation, human rights, gender, youth and future generations, andthe transformation of global governance. I don’t want to live in a new “global order” that includes “all peoples and all nations”. I am sure that most of you feel the exact same way. Another page on the official UN website tells us that “UN 2.0” is all about creating a “modern UN family”… Halfway through the 2030 Agenda, the world is not on track to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. It is not too late to change course, if we all rethink, refocus, and recharge. “UN2.0” encapsulates the Secretary-General’s vision of a modern UN family, rejuvenated by a forward-thinking culture and empowered by cutting-edge skills for the twenty-first century – to turbocharge our support to people and planet. We will strive towards this vision with a powerful fusion of innovation, data, digital, foresight and behavioral science skills and culture – a dynamic combination that we call the “Quintetof Change”. It is about evolution towards more agile, diverse, responsive, and impactful UN organizations. That sounds so cozy, doesn’t it? Who wouldn’t want to be a part of a “family”, right? But the truth is that the agenda that they intend to impose on all of us will not be pleasant at all. Over the years, much has been written about how insidious the UN’s “Sustainable Development Goals” are. In one way or another, all forms of human activity contribute to “climate change”. And so they intend to strictly regulate all forms of human activity in order to meet their twisted goals. The “Pact for the Future” also recognizes a “central role” for the UN and a “coordinated and multidimensional international response” whenever future “global shocks” arise… We recognize the need for a more coherent, cooperative, coordinated and multidimensional international response to complex global shocks and the central role of the United Nations in thisregard. Complex global shocks are events that have severely disruptive and adverse consequences for a significant proportion of countries and the global population, and that lead to impacts across multiple sectors, requiring a multidimensional and whole-of-government,whole-of-society response. The next time that there is a major global crisis, do you want the UN running the show and telling everyone what to do? I tried to warn everyone about this. I have written extensively about the “Pact for the Future”, but in the end only a very small sliver of the population got fired up about it. Now the global elite have achieved their goal, and the opposition that they encountered was barely perceptible.

 Make a Widow's Heart Sing (Part Two) The apostle James grew up with Jesus, and watching his older Brother must have influenced him significantly. He saw His interactions with others, especially family members, friends, co-workers, clients, local authorities, and the poor and oppressed.Later, Jesus' ministry was marked by acts of profound compassion, as He provided physical, emotional, and spiritual healing to multitudes. Through His miracles and interactions, He addressed the people's immediate needs while teaching lessons of kindness and mercy that have resonated through the ages. It is beyond doubt that Jesus set a powerful example of compassion and care for vulnerable and weak people. We can read it in the gospels. The question is, how active are we in this area of Christian life? No matter our physical or social condition, do our lives exude the desire to serve inspired by the Spirit of God? In Matthew 25, in the Parable of the Sheep and the Goats, Jesus illustrates how critical it is that we care and look out for others. God has called His people to serve with humility, not just the widows and fatherless among us, but anyone in need. Matthew 25:31-40: When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep fromthe goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will say to those on His right hand, "Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me." Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, andcome to You?" And the King will answer and say to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me." Other translations help us to understand the import of Jesus' final statement: •The Message Bible: "I'm telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me." •New Revised Standard Version: "Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." •GOD'S WORD Translation: "I can guarantee this truth: Whatever you did for one of my brothers or sisters, no matter how unimportant [they seemed], you did for me." This passage clarifies how seriously God takes our conduct toward the least in society. While they may seem unimportant to most others, they are not insignificant to God. We must learn to care for people the same way He does. Why? He has called us into His Family, and the Family of God must reflect the character of God the Father, which we see in the perfect example of Jesus Christ. When we actively participate in acts of love toward others, we demonstrate Christ's attitude, as seen in the gospel accounts. What is fascinating about His words in this parable is that the sheep display the character of God automatically. They do not even notice, it seems, that they are doing anything special. An attitude and eagerness to serve others shows they areliving "in the Spirit," naturally doing what God does, loving others selflessly as God does. As James would say, that is "pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father." It is easy to overlook the elderly and the widows in our society. Many old people are lonely. They are often neglected and feel useless, having nothing to contribute to anyone anymore. They tire quickly. They no longer feel mentally sharp. Theyhave no money or other resources to do anything. However, Scripture says they are essential parts of the church. And we should not forget, despite their age and weakness now, they are future rulers in the Kingdom of God, just like the rest of us younger, spryer, and more physically capable members of God's Family. So we must ask ourselves: Are we aware of the elderly, widows, and others in need? Since God's little flock is scattered around the world, visiting the older brethren is often impossible. But, while a personal visit is pleasant and would be appreciated, calling or writing is a viable option. We can make it our responsibilityto get in touch with one or more needy person, however far away they may be. Such an act of fellowship helps relieve loneliness. Maybe talking on the phone is not your thing. Send a letter, a card, or even a text or email. Let the elderly know there are people who think of them. It is guaranteed that our senior citizens will feel encouraged. Encouraging others is a servicewe should all be zealous to participate in. At the very least, we should pray for our widows and elderly. Many of those whose conditions populate our prayer request lists are the elderly. Other seniors have difficulties that are never announced as prayer requests. Communicating with ourolder brethren regularly will help us keep our eyes and ears open to learn about needs we can fill. Some of the aged are reticent to tell us what is bothering them, but on the other hand, how can we pray or help unless we know about them? In a closer relationship,such things are more easily shared. We have probably all fallen short in this facet of Christian living because it is so easy to become caught up in our busy lives. However, that is just another area in which we need to show ourselves willing to overcome and grow, fulfilling God'scommand to love our brethren. An extraordinary statement appears in the book of Job. Job is defending himself against the accusations of his "friends," who said his present condition, seemingly under God's judgment and suffering terribly, indicated that he had sinned. In Job 29:12-13, he provides proof that his was a life of service, reflecting his character: When the ear heard, then it blessed me, and when the eye saw, then it approved me; because I delivered the poor who cried out, the fatherless and the one who had no helper. The blessing of a perishing man came upon me, and I caused the widow'sheart to sing for joy. Would it not be wonderful to stir a widow's heart to sing with joy for the help we give? James provides crucial instruction in James 1:27, helping us to understand the importance of faith in action as we practice Christianity. Pure, sincere, genuine worship is serving both God and man through acts of kindness and removing the spots and blemishes from our character. In this way, we honor God.  Biden-Harris DOJ complicit in placing a bounty on Trump? - Bill Wilson – www.dailyjot.com Interesting that the Biden-Harris Department of Justice and FBI are very stingy in the information being released on the two Trump assassination attempts, but made public Ryan Wesley Routh’sletter offering a $150,000 bounty on Trump to anybody who can finish the job he attempted at Trump’s golf course. This is completely out of character of the DOJ and FBI regarding the release of suspected killers and attempted killers, but not when it comesto offering a bounty on the Democratic Party’s presidential opponent. Is the DOJ and FBI so naïve that they think this information will curtail additional assassination attempts on the former President and current contender for the White House? According to several sources and a DOJ released photocopy of the letter, Routh wrote, “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all thegumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.” The letter was part of the Justice Department’s detention memo arguing that the 58-year-old Routh should remain incarcerated as a threatto public safety. Despite the letter, Associated Press, which feeds most all of the mainstream media outlets with breaking news, is still calling Routh’s action an “apparent assassination attempt.” Even more bizarre is that news outlets are reporting that the letter was in a box dropped off at an unnamed person’s home months before the assassination attempt. The recipient didn’t openit until after Routh was arrested. The box also contained a metal pipe, building materials, ammunition, a number of tools, phones and other letters. This incredible find is shrouded in mystery as the person with the box and the letter reportedly contactedlaw enforcement, but is not identified by the DOJ. Is this person a suspect or a person of interest? We don’t know. And why would the DOJ release the bounty letter to the public, but not more information on how it obtained this note or why it wasn’t openedand reported to the authorities when it was received. This type of information could well have prevented the assassination attempt. Ongoing dog-whistle rhetoric that Trump is an existential threat to “democracy,” comparing him to Hitler, saying he wants to be a dictator and a bunch of other outrageous claims continuesfrom the mouths of the news media, Hollywood elites, and most notably the voices of the Democratic Party. Now the Democratic Party-controlled DOJ doesn’t hesitate to tell the world that there is a $150,000 bounty on Trump. From one side of their mouths theysay that there is no place for political violence and on the other side of their mouths their words are inciting anger and hate from nutcases like Routh and Thomas Crooks. This entire segment of events doesn’t pass the smell test. 2 Timothy 3:13 says, “Butevil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.” Yes, indeed. As Christ said, “Take heed that no man deceive you.”

In short, the UN is becoming “UN 2.0,” as top leaders of the organization put it. However, in the United States, at least, lawmakers, governors, and grassroots leaders are growing increasinglyrestless about what they perceive as a historic power grab, putting many attendees at the UN summit on edge as Donald Trump prepares for a possible return to the White House. UN General Assembly President Philemon Yang of Cameroon claimed the UN deal would “lay the foundations for a sustainable, just, and peaceful global order – for all peoples and nations.” Otherleaders of the organization echoed the sentiment. According to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, former leader of the world’s preeminent alliance of socialist and communist political parties, the UN Summit of the Future represents “anessential first step towards making global institutions more legitimate, effective, and fit for the world of today and tomorrow.” “Transforming” (read: empowering) the UN with vast new authorities and responsibilities has been one of the major focuses of the massive gathering and is woven into the pact. “We can’t createa future fit for our grandchildren with systems built for our grandparents,” continued Guterres, a line that was printed out on giant signs throughout UN headquarters as delegates discussed “reform” of the powerful UN Security Council with a goal of eventuallyeliminating veto powers of the permanent members. The final agreement adopted at the Summit for the Future formalized those ideas with the backing of virtually every national government and dictatorship on Earth. “We recognize that the multilateralsystem and its institutions, with the United Nations and its Charter at the center, must be strengthened to keep pace with a changing world,” reads the Pact for the Future, which was adopted by “consensus” featuring token opposition from a handful of governments. “We renew our commitment to multilateralism and international cooperation,” the Pact adds. “We will transform global governance and strengthen the multilateral system.” Only more globalism can handle the real and imagined problems facing humanity, according to the document. A “recommitment to international cooperation based on respect for international law,” the pact says, is “required,” with international cooperation, like “multilateralism,” serving as a synonym for globalism. “This is not an option but a necessity,” it continues. In fact, the agreement specifically claims that nations and their governments cannot possibly handle the alleged problems that face humanity without the UN. “Our challenges are deeply interconnectedand far exceed the capacity of any single State alone,” the pact states. “They can only be addressed collectively, through strong and sustained international cooperation.” The term “global governance,” often used as a less-ominous placeholder for global government, is mentioned repeatedly throughout the document, always as something positive to be advanced.Under the heading “transforming global governance,” for instance, the pact calls for a dramatic expansion of these mechanisms for governing all of humanity. “Today, our multilateral system, constructed in the aftermath of the Second World War, is under unprecedented strain,” the pact says, pointing to supposed (and undefined) “remarkable achievements” over the last 80 years. “But we are not complacent about the future of our international order, and we know that it cannot stand still.” One of the institutions that received a shoutout is the would-be global Supreme Court known as the “International Court of Justice,” often ridiculed by critics as a “kangaroo court.” “We willfulfil our obligation to comply with the decisions and uphold the mandate of the International Court of Justice,” the Pact states. Another area where the UN hopes to expand its power is on taxation, vowing to “explore options” for “international cooperation” on taxes and in particular, on taxing “high net worth” individuals. “We are committed to strengthening the inclusiveness and effectiveness of tax cooperation at the United Nations,” the UN deal explains, one of many efforts to eventually implement global taxation. Ultimately, though, globalism must expand across the board. “We will take action to strengthen and reinvigorate multilateralism and deepen international cooperation,” it continues, offering “unwavering commitment to international law” for dealing with supposed challenges. “A transformation in global governance is essential to ensure that the positive progress we have seen across all three pillars of the work of the United Nations in recent decadesdoes not unravel. We will not allow this to happen.” However, as highlighted by The New American in another article, the UN recognizes that humanity — and especially American taxpayers who pay the bulk of the bills — are growing weary of theUN. “We must renew trust in global institutions by making them more representative of and responsive to today’s world and more effective at delivering on the commitments that we have made to one another and our people,” the agreement reads. One of the major tools to help the UN “renew” trust in globalism is controlling information, as the pact makes clear. It calls on governments to “address” so-called “disinformation, misinformation,hate speech and content inciting harm, including content disseminated through digital platforms.” Of course, “hate speech” was a term introduced into the UN lexicon by the mass-murdering Soviet dictatorship to describe speech it hated. “We will work together to promote information integrity, tolerance and respect in the digital space,” governments vowed in the UN agreement, followed by a dizzying array of actions they intendto take. “We will strengthen international cooperation to address the challenge of misinformation and disinformation and hate speech online and mitigate the risks of information manipulation in a manner consistent with international law.” It is not just restricting information that counters the UN narrative. A confidential memo sent to communications executives across the UN system earlier this year and obtained by The NewAmerican magazine included provisions on how to propagandize humanity on the Summit of the Future and its agenda. “The Summit of the future is a pivotal moment on our agenda,” the memo said, adding that the UN Department of Global Communications “wants to make sure we take the media with us – startingwith briefs on specific parts of the agenda.” One way the UN has done that is by partnering with Google to hide information contrary to its narratives, especially on issues such as climate. “The Summit will have a narrative and key message booklet to help staff understand how to communicate on the issues,” it added. “There is an increasingly large group of people who are mobilizingto get past cynicism, but some of the issues are hard to sell. Making multilateralism work is something we should sell. Advertising agencies are happy to help – we should consider how we can ‘flood the internet’ with positive, factual campaigns.” One of the major power grabs in the final agreement inked this weekend involves the UN response to what it describes as “complex global shocks.” These could be anything from “climate” issuesor economic problems to environmental crises or even unpredictable “black swan” events. Under a proposal outlined in a policy brief dubbed “Our Common Future” released by UN boss Guterres last year, Guterres himself would essentially become a global dictator to deal with realor imagined international emergencies, declared at his discretion. The proposal called for nations, business, and all sectors of society to recognize the “primary role of intergovernmental organs [such as U.N. agencies] in decision-making.” While the final agreement this week did not contain everything he asked for, it did provide a “mandate” from member states for Guterres to pursue the agenda vigorously. “We recognize the needfor a more coherent, cooperative, coordinated and multidimensional international response to complex global shocks and the central role of the United Nations in this regard,” the Pact declared, calling on Guterres to devise new ways to “strengthen the UnitedNations system response to complex global shocks.” A key theme of the pact was reaffirming commitments to previous UN agreements and schemes such as the UN “Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” a tool of tyrants aiming to replace the U.S.understanding of God-given unalienable rights with UN-granted revokable privileges. In particular, the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a recipe for global tyranny adopted in 2015 as the “master plan for humanity,” was a focal point of the new deal. “Wereaffirm our enduring commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals,” the new agreement states, vowing to “urgently accelerate” its implementation with “concrete political steps” and more tax money. As part of that, the UN claims it needs virtually limitless amounts of power and money to do everything from “eradicate poverty” and “eliminate food insecurity” to deal with alleged man-made “climate change” and reduce “inequality” both “within” and “among” countries. Ironically, as this magazine has documented, many of the real and imagined evils the UN pretends to fight were created or worsened by UN policies or those of its member states. Added to the pact were annexes including the “Global Digital Compact” to have the UN take the lead on regulation of the digital realm (data, Internet, Artificial Intelligence, and more). Alsoattached to the final agreement was the “Declaration on Future Generations” pretending that all the efforts to usurp more power for the UN are really “for the children” and generations yet unborn. Congressman Biggs, the former leader of the House Freedom Caucus, was also blunt: “We can’t give up any more of our sovereignty, any more of our geopolitical integrity, or any more of oureconomic integrity to foreign actors who have no concerns for the United States of America other than to take our power and money away.” Already, more than half of U.S. governors have publicly pledged to resist UN dictates in their respective states. A few months ago, Hezbollah leaders switched from cell phone-based communications to pagers and walkie-talkies. They believed it would be harder for Israel to keep track of them with thesemore primitive communications tools. Israel apparently intercepted the devices along the supply line, planted a small amount of explosive in each one, and then set them up to be remotely triggered. On September 17th, pagers all over Lebanon simultaneouslyexploded. Hezbollah says the explosions killed a dozen people and injured about 2,800, including Iran’s ambassador to Lebanon. The next day, the walkie-talkies exploded. Hezbollah says this second attack killed another 25 and injured about 700. The UN began its propaganda campaign by indicating that Israel had probably broken international law. Its high commissioner for human rights, Volker Turk, told the Security Council that usingcommunications devices in an attack may constitute a war crime. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, a man who always finds it hard to hide his disdain for Israel, gave a briefing at UN headquarters. He said Israel should not “weaponize civilian objects.” Think about that. Civilian objects include microphones, pens, computers, paper clips, knives, guns, printing presses, and a million other things that are regularly weaponized. Let’s look at what really happened. Hezbollah has been amassing weapons and using them against Israeli civilians since Iran formed the terror group in 1982. When the war with Hamas began ayear ago, Hezbollah began a series of missile strikes on northern Israel targeting civilian populations. Several of Israel’s towns now stand evacuated because of these attacks. Israel fought back. They fired their own missiles and successfully targeted key Hezbollah leaders. Then they executed one of the most precisely targeted missions in the history of warfare.They attacked Hezbollah militants who carried pagers and walkie-talkies. They did not attack “civilian devices,” but communications devices used as tools of war. Hezbollah claims that Israel hit civilians. That may be true, but this was not carpet bombing.This was a precise attack on militants who have been specifically targeting civilian population centers in Israel. War is a horrible, ugly thing. All people should avoid it. But terrorists choose it as a way of life for themselves and their families. The rest of us have, not only a right, but an obligationto defeat these people. A secret ammunition silo facility at Toropets in Tver region that housed one of the Russian President�s nuke missiles was hit by Ukrainian drone, it was claimed yesterday. It allegedly happened just ten miles from an �indestructible� 30,000 ton munitions storage site that had been obliterated on Wednesday. It is literally insane to use kamikaze drones to attack nuclear missiles. But that is the entire point. The Ukrainians are losing the war, and so they are desperately trying to provoke an �over the top� reaction from the Russians that will force NATO to get directly involved in the fighting. And they need to do it before the U.S. presidential election in November, because if Trump wins he fully intends to try to end the war. So that is why the Ukrainians just attacked a nuclear missile. They are in a race against time. Of course Ukraine does not have the ability to identify strategic targets deep inside Russia. As far as these long-range drone attacks are concerned, we frequently pick the targets, and in many cases we actually guide weapons to their targets. But we aren�t really supposed to talk about that. Now Ukraine wants permission to use long-range missiles provided by us to strike targets all over Russia� Volodymyr Zelenskyy has urged Joe Biden to allow Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes inside Russia with US-supplied weapons, and to earn �a place in history� by �strengthening Ukraine� before he leaves office. Speaking before a crucial trip next week to Washington, where he will meet Biden and the US vice-president and presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, and address the UN, Zelenskyy said he wouldpresent a �victory plan� to end the war. This could easily spark World War 3, because it would cross very important �red lines� that the Russians have established. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has once again stressed the importance of not crossing those �red lines�� �We talk about red lines, expecting that our assessments, statements will be heard by intelligent, decision-making people. In fact, we are being told that some even landed near the city of Haifa� Israel and Hezbollah continued to trade hundreds of strikes on Sunday as the sides appear to be spiraling toward an all-out war following months of escalating tensions. The Iran-backed militant group launched more than 100 rockets across a wider and deeper area of northern Israel, with some landing near the city of Haifa. The barrage overnight set off airraid sirens across northern Israel, sending thousands of people scrambling into shelters. Israel�s military said the rockets were fired �toward civilian areas,� pointing to a possible escalation after previous barrages had mainly been aimed at military targets. One of the areas that has been getting hit the hardest is the little town of Nazareth. Needless to say, Nazareth is a town that has a tremendous amount of significance to Christians all over the globe� �Another barrage of Hezbollah rockets at Nazareth. In fact, it was being reported on Sunday that Israeli aircraft hit about �400 militant sites� over a 24 hour period� The Israeli military said that it carried out a wave of strikes across southern Lebanon over the past 24 hours, hitting about 400 militant sites, including rocket launchers. Lt. Col. NadavShoshani, an Israeli military spokesman, said those strikes had thwarted an even larger attack. It also appears that Israel has started to use bigger bombs than we have seen in the past� BREAKING: Lebanon hit with massive bomb, one of the largest Israel has ever sent. Developing. Shockwave felt many many miles away.. Both sides just continue to escalate matters, and it is just a matter of time before an all-out war erupts. The recent attacks on Lebanon have confirmed our suspicion that the Israeli leadership�s plan is to spread the warto the entire region. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his gang have been staging all kinds of provocations to implement their radical Zionist ideology. Lindsey asked a rhetorical question: How can today’s Israel be the renewed nation promised in prophecy? Lindsey pointed out that the Bible answers this question. >Israel would be brought back together and to the land. The next day (Sept. 10, 2024), another one of my favorite Bible prophecy teachers, Jonathan Brentner, wrote, · If I were to select one word that sums up most people today, it would be “unaware.” · Most believers pursue their aspirations with little or no understanding of the times inwhich they live. Brentner turned to the Scriptures and something Jesus said about the signs of His coming (Note: Brentner quoted Matt. 24:37-39, but I have added Matt. 24:32-36). >“Now learn a parable of the fig tree (Israel; Hos. 9:10); When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all thesethings, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, notthe angels of heaven, but my Father only” (Matt. 24:32-36). >“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage,until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not (were unaware) until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matt. 24:37-39). Brentner said, · Because the people in Noah’s day didn’t believe his warnings about God’s impending judgment,it was as if they didn’t know about it until it started raining. Brentner’s point is that most Christians are unaware (not paying attention to Bible prophecy and have little or no knowledge) of the significance of what is happening in Israel. Just as people were oblivious to the coming flood in Noah’s day until it started to rain, many will be oblivious to the coming Tribulation Period in our day until the Rapture happens. After almost 2,000 years of being off the Promised Land and scattered to other nations, the return of Israel was implausible, and most Christians (including their pastors) are unaware of thesignificance of Israel’s return. Here are some articles that seem to indicate that the end of the age is near: One, concerning the destruction of Damascus, Syria, in one night at the end of the age (Isa. 17):on Sept. 12, 2024, it was reported that elite Israeli forces helicoptered into Syria and attacked an underground, Iranian-backed Hezbollah facility that reportedly produced surface-to-air missiles and chemical weapons (poison gases). Israeli troops entered the facility, captured 2 to 4 Iranians who were taken back to Israel for questioning, captured critical equipment and documents, planted explosives, blew up the building,and safely returned to Israel. Vladimir Putin warned the West and NATO that they will be in a war with Russia if they provide Ukraine with missiles that are used against targets inside Russia. The Bible says there is only one way (accepting Jesus as one’s Lord and Saviour.). In 2019, Roman Catholic Bishop Athanasius Schneider accused the Vatican of betraying Jesus Christ as the only Saviour of mankind. It appears to me that he is right. Seven, concerning an increase in pestilence and deceit at the end of the age: on Sept. 13, 2024,it was reported that Florida’s Surgeon General advised those 65 and older with underlying health conditions to avoid taking mRNA vaccines because there is a lack of clinical trial data and the fact that the federal government is not requiring producers todemonstrate that the vaccines are effective. Eight, concerning a worthless peace treaty in the Middle East and the division of Israel: on Sept.13, 2024, Spain hosted a meeting with E.U. and Muslim nations on ways to implement the two-state solution in the Middle East. They also exist in the form of words and communication. A verbal assault can be more significant than a missile barrage. The United Nations has no standing army.But it still chooses sides and tries to direct the outcome of conflicts. In the conflict between Iran�s proxies and Israel, the UN has chosen to become a propaganda agent for some of the worst terror groups in history. Both Old and New Testament prophecies speak of all nations gathering against Israel. The UN is a gathering of the world�s nations. Its current attacks on Israel do not entirely fulfill these prophecies, but it comes remarkablyclose. A few months ago, Hezbollah leaders switched from cell phone-based communications to pagers and walkie-talkies. They believed it would be harder for Israel to keep track of them with these more primitive communications tools.Israel apparently intercepted the devices along the supply line, planted a small amount of explosive in each one, and then set them up to be remotely triggered. On September 17th, pagers all over Lebanon simultaneously exploded. Hezbollah says the explosionskilled a dozen people and injured about 2,800, including Iran�s ambassador to Lebanon. The next day, the walkie-talkies exploded. Hezbollah says this second attack killed another 25 and injured about 700. The UN began its propaganda campaign by indicating that Israel had probably broken international law. Its high commissioner for human rights, Volker Turk, told the Security Council that using communications devices in an attackmay constitute a war crime. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, a man who always finds it hard to hide his disdain for Israel, gave a briefing at UN headquarters. He said Israel should not �weaponize civilian objects.� Think about that. Civilian objectsinclude microphones, pens, computers, paper clips, knives, guns, printing presses, and a million other things that are regularly weaponized. Let�s look at what really happened. Hezbollah has been amassing weapons and using them against Israeli civilians since Iran formed the terror group in 1982. When the war with Hamas began a year ago, Hezbollah began a seriesof missile strikes on northern Israel targeting civilian populations. Several of Israel�s towns now stand evacuated because of these attacks. Israel fought back. They fired their own missiles and successfully targeted key Hezbollah leaders. Then they executed one of the most precisely targeted missions in the history of warfare. They attacked Hezbollah militantswho carried pagers and walkie-talkies. They did not attack �civilian devices,� but communications devices used as tools of war. Hezbollah claims that Israel hit civilians. That may be true, but this was not carpet bombing. This was a precise attack on militantswho have been specifically targeting civilian population centers in Israel. War is a horrible, ugly thing. All people should avoid it. But terrorists choose it as a way of life for themselves and their families. The rest of us have, not only a right, but an obligation to defeat these people. The UNapparently prefers for Israel to use missiles and massive, indiscriminate bombs. But in this case, Israel was able to make a pinpoint attack against terrorists, even though those fighters were hiding in civilian areas. Never in history was such an attack carriedout with so little collateral damage. The UN should congratulate Israel and condemn Hezbollah�s continued terror bombings of civilian neighborhoods in Israel. China's embassy in Israel has asked its citizens to leave the country and return to China in a Sunday night statement. The embassy added that Chinese citizens should not travel to Israel for the time being. I think that this is actually a prudent move. When all-out war erupts, there won't be anywhere in the entire region that is truly safe. As I have discussed previously, U.S. citizens have already been instructed to leave Lebanon, and now more U.S. troops are being deployed to the region... The U.S. is sending troops to the Middle East in response to the surge in violence between Israel and Hezbollah and as the region teeters on the edge of an all-out war. The Pentagon announced on Monday that 'additional' service members would be deployed to join the 40,000 already stationed in the region along with a dozen warships and fighter jet squadrons. Most Americans don't realize this yet, but when all-out war erupts in the Middle East the U.S. will be involved. In Israel, a "special situation on the home front" has been officially declared for the entire country... On Monday evening, the government approved the declaration of a "special situation on the home front" throughout Israel, following the most intense day of fighting between Israel and Hezbollahsince October. The declaration of the "special situation" significantly expands the IDF's powers to issue instructions to the Israeli public, allowing it to ban gatherings, limit studies, and issue "additionalinstructions required to save lives." This is a really big deal. Just imagine what it would be like if the president of the United States gave the U.S. military special authority over cities throughout the United States. This is quite a dramatic move, and so Israeli officials must believe that all-out war is imminent. Of course at this point it is difficult to see how an all-out war can be avoided. On Monday, we witnessed "the deadliest day of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah since 2006"... Missiles slammed into southern Lebanon, shattering the early-morning silence Monday and reportedly killing more than 490 people as Israel said it was targeting Hezbollah weapons hidden inresidential buildings. The explosions came as Israel heralded a new wave of attacks on the Iran-backed group in Lebanon, warning civilians to flee from any buildings or areas where the organization had weapons or fighters positioned. Lebanon's health ministry said the strikes killed 492 people, including 35 children and 58 women, and wounded 1,645 people, The Associated Press reported. Monday marked the deadliest day offighting between Israel and Hezbollah since 2006. The death toll also surpassed the deaths from the 2020 explosion at the Port of Beirut that killed nearly 200 people, injured thousands and devastated entire neighborhoods in the Lebanese capital. We are so close to the unthinkable, and Israel has some decisions to make. At this point, experts are telling us that Israel has three main options... There are three options for Israeli planners to consider: air strikes; a massive, Gaza-style invasion; and a "limited" incursion to set up a "buffer zone". The first is, of course, the safest. Mr Gallant, the defence minister - no dove, even by Israeli standards - is said to have argued for this option. It does not commit troops on the ground, avoids the risk of a quagmire, and would not require committing ground forces while the main effort in Gaza (and, increasingly, the West Bank) is stillunder way. I would disagree with that assessment. A "limited" incursion simply is not possible. Hezbollah has stated that it will be all-out war the moment that the IDF crosses into southern Lebanon, and I believe that they are deadly seriousabout that. Some of these groups have increasedcoordination significantly since October, when Israel launched a war in Gaza after Hamas-led militants attacked the country. This axis is known in Israel as the "ring of fire." For nearly a year, Hezbollah's partners in the region have been engaged in a simmering conflict with Israel and its allies. Yemen's Houthis have sporadically fired at vessels in the Red Sea,an artery of global trade, as well as on Israel. Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of hardline Shia factions, has also launched attacks on US positions in that country. The axis has conditioned the cessation of those hostilities on a ceasefirein Gaza, rebranding themselves as a "supportive front" for Palestinians in Gaza, as described by a senior Hezbollah leader. Israel possesses far superior weaponry, but the combined forces of the Iranian-led "axis of resistance" would vastly outnumber Israeli forces. A former Major General in the IDF has told the Jerusalem Post that an all-out war with the entire alliance could have disastrous consequences for Israel... Itzhak Brik, a former Major General in the IDF, told the Jerusalem Post that a full-scale war with Iran and its proxies could ultimately result in the destruction of the state of Israel. 'Iran and its proxies have 250,000 missiles, rockets, and drones encircling Israel, which means about 4,000 munitions hitting the Israeli home front on a daily basis. 'Population centres, Haifa Bay, water and electricity facilities, gas fields [in the Mediterranean Sea], IDF bases, and strategic civilian infrastructure... A regional war can ruin the Stateof Israel,' he concluded. Of course the truth is that Benjamin Netanyahu would never allow things to get that far. If push comes to shove, he will not hesitate to use ultra-powerful weapons that the other side does not possess. So let us hope that one side or the other backs down before we reach a point of no return. We are also rapidly reaching a point of no return in Ukraine. The Ukrainians want to use long-range missiles provided by NATO to strike targets all over Russia, and many NATO officials are very much in support of this dangerous proposal... "Every nation that is attacked has the right to defend itself," said Admiral Rob Bauer, speaking at the close of the NATO committee's annual meeting. "And that right doesn't stop at the borderof your own nation." I wonder if the shoe were on the other foot and Russia was sending long-range missiles to Mexico with instructions and training on how to use them against American cities if the esteemed admiralwould say Mexico had a "right" to fire those Russian missiles northward. The consequences of these comments are absolutely stunning, and yet they are made with the flippancy of a Cub Scout leader deciding which is the best way to sharpen a pocket knife. This is a "red line" that we must not cross. The Russians have warned us over and over again that we are on a path that leads to nuclear war, and just the other day a Russian television channel broadcast a video that imagined what anuclear strike on London would look like... A devastating nuclear strike on London causing 850,000 deaths with two million injured has been simulated by a staunchly pro-Putin propaganda TV channel. Broadcasting the four minute video with an English commentary appears to be the latest move in a concerted campaign to scare Britain from giving permission to Ukraine to allow Storm Shadowmissiles to hit targets inside Russia. Vladimir Putin's propagandists and entourage have repeatedly warned that he could use nuclear weapons. Many people are convinced that western leaders have everything under control and that they know exactly what they are doing. Those people would be wrong. I have been warning about the war in Ukraine and the war in the Middle East for years, and many others have been issuing similar warnings. But our leaders don't listen to people like us. On Tuesday, Israel and Hezbollah just continued to pummel one another� Israel announced dozens of new air strikes on Hezbollah strongholds in Lebanon Tuesday, a day after Lebanese officials say 558 people, including 50 children, were killed in the deadliest bombardmentsince a devastating war in 2006. Israel�s latest strikes on southern Lebanon came after it said it had killed a �large number� of militants as it struck about 1,500 suspected Hezbollah targets around the country. Hezbollah said Tuesday it had launched volleys of missiles at Israeli military bases, hours after 180 of its projectiles and an unmanned aerial vehicle crossed into Israeli airspace, sendingpeople in the city of Haifa running for shelter. The Israeli military said more than 50 projectiles were fired into northern Israel in less than 10 minutes on Tuesday morning, most of which were intercepted. In addition to projectiles, Hezbollah also sent drones deep into Israeli territory. In fact, it is being reported that drones actually targeted a naval base which is located quite a bit south of Haifa� Sky News and others are reporting that for the first time of the conflict, Hezbollah has launched a drone attack on a navy base which lies south of Haifa. The Atlit navy base which was targetedlies 80 kilometers from the Lebanese border. This is an attack significantly deep into Israel and reveals an extended range of Hezbollah missiles. Likely as things slide further, and with Israel keeping up its intense airstrikes on Lebanon, Hezbollah missileswill begin reaching further and further. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said late in the day Tuesday (local time) on X: �We will continue striking Hezbollah. Anyone who has a missile in their living room and a rocketin their garage will not have a home.� Hezbollah just keeps escalating matters, and this is a huge mistake, because it is just going to make Israel even more determined to take action. IDF forces are being deployed to northern Israel, and a spokesperson for the IDF has told the press that the army is at a state of �full-scale readiness�� Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the IDF, insisted military chiefs were �not looking for wars� but would do �whatever is necessary� to ensure Israel�s security. He later clarified the army was at �full-scale readiness�, meaning an invasion could be on the cards. My personal opinion is that Israel will not launch an operation in southern Lebanon this month. But Israeli President Isaac Herzog is warning that �we will do whatever it takes to bring our citizens back home and enable calm in our cities�� �Israel is not interested, did not want this war, and is not interested in going to war with Lebanon,� Herzog told CNBC�s Dan Murphy on Tuesday. �But Israel has been attacked from Oct. 8 from Lebanon endlessly. And if you look at the situation today, Hezbollah has launched missiles and rockets all over the northern part of Israel.So we will do whatever it takes to bring our citizens back home and enable calm in our cities. That�s the situation.� �We�ve shown our capabilities, and we have much more on the way, if they will continue,� Herzog added. For now, I expect that Israel will continue to strike Hezbollah targets all over southern Lebanon, and thousands upon thousands of local residents are fleeing north in order to escape theviolence� Cars choked Lebanon�s highways as people fled into the night, trying to escape north toward the capital Beirut. �It was a day of terror,� 41-year-old housewife Thuraya Harb told AFP at a makeshift center for displaced families in Beirut after fleeing her home in south Lebanon. �I didn�t want to leave my home, but the children were scared,� the mother of four said, adding that the family fled �with nothing but the clothes on our backs.� So many families and so many children on both sides are being affected by this conflict. That should deeply sadden all of us. But this is just the beginning. So much death and destruction is ahead, and a top EU diplomat is admitting that we really are �almost in a full-fledged war�� �I can say that we are almost in a full-fledged war,� European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell told reporters earlier. �If this is not a war situation, I don�t know what you wouldcall it.� As I discussed earlier, when an all-out war erupts it won�t just be Israel fighting Hezbollah. Every day, there are more reports of Iranian-backed militia groups sending troops to Lebanon. Here is just one example� Most of the leaders of the Iranian-backed militias have left the city of Mayadeen, east of Deir Ezzor, over the past two days, for the Qusayr area in the Homs countryside and from there toLebanon, according to a local reporter of the DeirEzzor24 Network . Our reporter said that among those leaving were the so-called �Hajj Najaf�, the official in charge of the Iranian �Al-Shifa� hospital in the city of Mayadeen, and �Hajj Malik�, the militarycommander in the Revolutionary Guard militia, with some leaders remaining in the city to complete some administrative matters, with the possibility of joining them. The departure of the militia leaders from Deir Ezzor for Lebanon comes amid an Israeli military escalation against the Hezbollah militia in southern Lebanon. Many of these troops are quite eager to participate in a �final showdown� with Israel. Of course there are a lot of experts that believe Iran could be pulled directly into the conflict as well, and Iranian leaders are issuing some very ominous statements� Iran�s President Masoud Pezeshkian said today that its ally Hezbollah �cannot stand alone� against Israel, which he said was �being defended and supported and supplied by Western countries,by European countries and the United States�. He said Iran had �never started a war in the last 100 years� and was �not looking to cause insecurity�. But he insisted that Iran �will never allow a country to force us into something and threaten our security and territorial integrity�, while his foreign minister Abbas Araghchi posted on Xthat �Iran will NOT remain indifferent� to the conflict. Iran and Hezbollah both possess vast arsenals of highly sophisticated missiles. And the combined ground forces of Iran, Hezbollah and other Iranian-backed groups throughout the region would greatly outnumber the ground forces that the IDF is able to muster. So as the Daily Mail has pointed out, we could eventually be facing a scenario where the U.S. military has to get directly involved and Israel feels forced to use weapons that it does notwant to use� The Islamic Republic has thousands upon thousands of long-range and precision-guided missiles alongside hundreds of thousands of mid-range cruise missiles. This appears to be the worst-case scenario feared by Israeli defence experts � a coordinated attack in which Iran, Hezbollah and other members of the so-called Axis of Resistance launch waveafter wave of missile and drone strikes that overwhelm Israel�s air defences and devastate towns and cities. Several analysts told MailOnline that terrifying prospect is unlikely because it would prompt the US to come to Israel�s defence � and could even raise the spectre of Israel turning to itssecretive stockpile of nuclear weapons. We really are on the verge of the unthinkable. But nobody will be able to say that we weren�t warned. I mention these points so that when we pray for Israel, we might not only pray for their war effort but also for many of the societalchallenges they face as a result of the wars they are fighting. Tourism Aside from the overall population itself, the sector which has been hit the hardest is tourism. In peak years, where Israel usually expects close to five million tourists, the value to theeconomy is in the billions of dollars. According to the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, a little over three million tourists entered Israel during 2023. That is, until October 7, 2023. Since the war began, tourist numbers have plummeted. Forthose who rely heavily on tourism income, it has been devastating, particularly since they were just starting to recover from the COVID-19 lockdowns. Fluctuating violence is nothing new to tour operators. Nor is the last-minute cancellation of incoming tour groups due to unexpected war and terrorism. They usually have a financial reserveto help them survive challenging times. However, the COVID-19 lockdowns depleted those reserves and as a result, many businesses are now in a very precarious position. Although many pivoted to helping with relief efforts, if tourism does not recommence soon,many will face financial ruin. Tourism operators are also growing concerned at rising antisemitism throughout the world, which they believe may not only dissuade some tourists from visiting, it may also result in commercialboycotts and a lack of viable air transport for tourists. Businesses According to a Times of Israel report in July 2024, 46,000 Israeli businesses have had to make the heart-wrenching decision to close due to the poor economic environment. Sadly, that numberis expected to rise to 60,000 by the end of 2024. Personnel is another key challenge for businesses. Reservists undertaking their military service had to be suddenly removed from their work commitments, leaving little time to organise replacements. Additionally,85,000 Palestinian workers have disappeared from Israel�s construction industry as they have not been allowed into Israel to work due to security concerns. Couple that with the fact that many foreign workers working at building sites left the country and itmeans that many building sites have had to shut down completely due to a shortage of workers. Mental Toll Not surprisingly, the mental health trauma directly and indirectly related to the events of October 7 will take time to accurately assess. However, there are already key signs that many Israelisare struggling to cope with the trauma. A recent Jerusalem Post report indicated that one out of every three women and one out of every five men report having a high level of post-traumatic stress following the events of October 7. According to the IsraelCentre on Addiction and Mental Health this is an increase of 150% among women and 65% among men, compared to data from 2022. Unfortunately, the trauma has translated into substance abuse (whether prescription drugs, alcohol or recreational drugs). In 2018, 1 in 10 Israelis had substance abuse disorders. In 2022,that number rose to 1 in 7 (which medical professionals directly attributed to the COVID-19 crisis). However, by November 2023, substance abuse rose to 1 in 5 and by December 2023, it was up to 1 in 4. Sadly, the 1 in 4 statistics relates to the general population. Amongthose who have been evacuated from conflict zones it is approximately 1 in 3 and among the survivors of October 7, it is 1 in 2. That is a devastating ratio. If, as anticipated, there is a long, complex and deadly war in the north against Hezbollah, thesestatistics are expected to worsen. Farming Terrorists who infiltrated the Gaza Envelope on October 7 didn�t just take lives, they severely damaged the Israeli agricultural sector. Chicken coops were incinerated. Hectares of crops wereravaged. Irrigation systems were dismantled. Greenhouses were burned to the ground. Orchards were flooded. Farming equipment was either burnt or stolen. According to a recent report in The Jewish Chronicle, more than half of the 45 communities attacked on October 7 were agricultural kibbutzim and moshavim in a once-arid region that now producesapproximately 70 percent of the country�s vegetables, 20 percent of its fruit and six-and-a-half percent of its milk. Furthermore, the Hamas attacks damaged 40,000 hectares of agricultural land and cost $500 million in lost farmer income and infrastructuredamage. Yuval Lipkin, deputy director general of Israel�s Agriculture Ministry, declared last November that, �Israel�s agriculture is in its biggest crisis since the establishment of Israel.� Forexample, consider the steep cost of replacing equipment alone. Most insurance companies don�t cover physical assets destroyed during war. However, the Israeli government�s assistance programs only reimburse the depreciated value of the equipment at time ofdestruction. Therefore, if you had a four-year-old tractor, its depreciated value might be $100,000 but the cost of replacement is $300,000. Jewish philanthropy, displayed in full leading up to and after 1948, may well need to be called upon once again torebuild farming communities. In Conclusion Right now, many nations of the world are actively opposing Israel, whether that be through war and terrorism (by Middle Eastern nations) or through political opposition (by Western and Asiannations). Many are tearing at the fabric of Israel, believing that if Israel disappeared, the world would be a better place. Yet, we are reminded of the promises of God as spoken through the prophet Isaiah. In the future, nations will not come to Israel with war or political pressure, they will come because the Lord is there. Isaiah 2:2-3 says: �Now it shall come to pass in the latter days thatthe mountain of the LORD�s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, �Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house ofthe God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.� For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.� In that time, Israel will no longer be a hated and rejected pariah. To achieve that, we are preparing the process of a maneuver, which means your military boots, your maneuvering boots, will enter enemy territory, enter villages that Hezbollah has prepared as large military outposts,with underground infrastructure, staging points and launchpads into our territory and carry out attacks on Israeli civilians.� In addition to the forces that have already been deployed, the Israelis just called up two more reserve brigades� The Israeli military announced Wednesday afternoon that two reserve brigades will be called up for deployment in Operation Northern Arrows. �In accordance with the situational assessment, the IDF is calling up two reserve brigades for operational missions in the northern arena,� the IDF said. Israel is quite serious about going in, but the Biden administration is trying really hard to find a diplomatic solution to this crisis� The Biden administration is working on a new diplomatic initiative for a �pause� in the fighting in Lebanon and a resumption of negotiations on a Gaza hostage and ceasefire deal, accordingto two U.S. officials, one Israeli official and two sources with direct knowledge. According to Axios, Benjamin Netanyahu is quite open to the idea of a peaceful way out of this mess� •Over the last two days, the U.S. has been discussing the idea with France, Israel, Lebanon and several other Arab countries, a U.S. official and a European diplomat said. •�We are working with several countries on a proposal for a diplomatic solution for the north,� a U.S. official confirmed. •�Netanyahu gave a green light to discuss this initiative,� an Israeli official said. If Hezbollah can be persuaded to withdraw north of the Litani River peacefully, Israeli forces would not need to enter southern Lebanon, and the Israeli government would be quite thrilledabout that. I am entirely convinced that this is not going to happen, but I think that all of this diplomatic posturing will delay an Israeli ground operation for a little while. For now, Israel and Hezbollah continue to exchange long-range strikes. I really wish that Hezbollah would just stop. If Hezbollah stopped hitting Israel and withdrew north of the Litani River, an all-out war could be avoided. Unfortunately, that isn�t going to be the way that things play out. As war approaches, more airlines are cancelling flights to and from Beirut� Egyptair, Emirates, Etihad, flydubai and Qatar Airways are among the airlines this week that have now suspended flights to and from Beirut due to the unstable security situation, accordingto Reuters and Al Arabiya. Reuters also reports that Britain has advised U.K.-based airlines not to fly into Lebanese airspace until Nov. 4, citing a �potential risk to aviation from military activity�. If you are currently visiting the Middle East, I would get out now while you still can. Meanwhile, the Russians continue to gobble up more real estate in Ukraine. In fact, we are being told that they have just entered Vuhledar� As confirmed by both Russian and Ukrainian sources, the Russians have entered Vuhledar � a key Ukrainian stronghold at the junction of eastern and southern fronts. The potential effect ofits capture is hard to overestimate. They are also closing the lid on the near-encircled large chunk of land outside Krasnohorivka � mopping up Zhelanne 2. The situation on the frontline couldn�t be worse for Zelensky-Biden summit. The only way that Ukraine can win this war is if NATO forces get directly involved. Ominously, it appears that NATO is making plans for just such a scenario� NATO plans to coordinate the transport of a large number of wounded troops away from front lines in case of a war with Russia, potentially via hospital trains as air evacuations may not befeasible, according to a senior general. The future scenario for medical evacuations will differ from allies� experience in Afghanistan and Iraq, Lieutenant-General Alexander Sollfrank, the head of NATO�s logistics command, toldReuters in an interview. We must avoid a direct war with Russia at all costs. Because a direct war with Russia could easily go nuclear. On Wednesday, Vladimir Putin discussed very alarming changes to Russia�s official nuclear doctrine� �The updated version of the document proposes that aggression against Russia by any non-nuclear-weapon state, but with the participation or support of a nuclear-weapon state, should be consideredas a joint attack on the Russian Federation,� Putin told the council. He said the conditions for the launch of Russia�s nuclear weapons would be �reliable information about a massive launch of aerospace attack means and their crossing of our state border.� He added, �We reserve the right to use nuclear weapons in the event of aggression against Russia and Belarus.� So if Ukraine starts firing long-range missiles that were provided by us at Russian cities, the Russians would consider that to be a joint attack and would reserve the right to use nuclearweapons in such a scenario. Speaking of nuclear weapons, the Chinese just test-fired �an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean�� China said Wednesday that it had successfully test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile into the Pacific Ocean, in a rare public test that may raise international concerns as the countrybuilds up its nuclear arsenal at a time of tensions with the United States. The People�s Liberation Army Rocket Force launched the ICBM carrying a simulated warhead at 8:44 a.m. local time (8:44 p.m. Tuesday ET), the Chinese defense ministry said in a statement, addingthat it accurately landed in a predetermined area of the high seas. The path of the missile and the exact place it fell were unclear. Why can�t humanity ever seem to learn? War is not the answer. Israel then launched another attack on Hezbollah last Friday with an airstrike in Beirut, which fired four missiles, killing Ibrahim Aqil and 15 other senior Radwan Force commanders. Hezbollah,of course, is in shock, stunned by what has happened, giving Israel a perfect opportunity to pound Hezbollah targets within Southern Lebanon. IDF Spokesperson Admiral Daniel Hagari said this concerning the situation: About an hour ago, following indications that Hezbollah was preparing to fire towards Israeli territory, we began conducting extensive strikes on terrorist targets throughout Lebanon. TheHezbollah terrorist organization has been continuously launching attacks on Israeli civilians and has no plans to stop. [In] Southern Lebanon, there are dozens of Lebanese Villages situated along approximately 80 kilometers of the border with Israel. For over 20 years, Hezbollah has deployed its arms insidehomes and militarized civilian infrastructure. As a result, the Hezbollah terrorist organization has turned Southern Lebanon into a battlefield. [Within villages] in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah stores cruise missiles, rocket launchers, and UAVs inside civilian homes, hidden behind the Lebanese population living in the village. By the way, Hezbollah was not supposed to be operating south of the Litani Riverunder UN resolution 1701 after the 2006 Lebanon war. That retreat didn�t happen, and something tells me that Nasrallah is not going to do that due to his Islamic pride and, ultimately, his orders from Iran�the head of the snake. Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran�s �Supreme Leader,� is hellbent on wiping Israel off the face of the map. He recently called Israel an �evil cancerous tumor.� We need to be praying for Israel. Hezbollah has over 150,000 rockets aimed at the Jewish State, and we�ve yet to see Hezbollah use the precision-guided weapons they claim they have. If they�retruly capable of hitting anywhere in Israel, things could get ugly really quickly. We must keep praying for the Peace of Jerusalem. What does God have to say about all of this? In Genesis 12:3, God says, �I will bless those that bless thee,� speaking of the Jewish people, �and I will curse those that curse thee.� Khamenei,Sinwar, and Nasrallah ought to tremble and take close note of how precise God�s word is. The last time I checked, all the nations in the past that have come against God�s chosen people have vanished from the world scene. The ancient Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians,Medes, ancient Persians, ancient Greeks, the Romans, and, of course, the Nazis are all gone. They�ve vanished, but where are God�s chosen people? Right back in the land that God swore as an everlasting possession to the physical descendants of Abraham, Isaac,and Jacob. Woe unto all those who are trying to wipe Israel off the face of the map! Israeli security officials voiced concern about the growing threat, noting that while these fighters may not be elite, their presence is significant. A senior Israeli official emphasized that Israel will take steps in Syria to send a clear message to President Bashar al-Assad that these forces are unacceptable. The presence of such a large force posing a threat to Israel from the Syrian region will remind Bible prophecy students of the prophecy found in the Book of Isaiah which deals with this region. Chapter 17 in the Book of Isaiah paints a sobering picture. In it, the city of Damascus is a pile of rubble. The Bible says it will disappear from the face of the earth and become a heap ofruins (Isaiah 17:1). At the same time, large parts of northern Israel will also lie in ruin (Isaiah 17:3). Now, before you say this prophecy was fulfilled during Old Testament times, keep this in mind... This passage says Damascus will cease to be a city (Isaiah 17:1). It will be utterly and completely destroyed. Yet, Damascus is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities on record. Its history goes back more than 5,000 years. At 2,600 years old, theBook of Isaiah itself is new compared to Damascus! This prophecy is yet to be fulfilled. How interesting is it that a new potential battle front forming in the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah is on the Syrian border? The second screen shows the envy and hatred that the nations of the world direct at the State of Israel. And this week, with the U.N. General Assembly taking place in New York at the precise moment Israel has taken the initiative vis � vis the Lebanese front, the dissonance between the two sidesis so glaring that it gives you whiplash. Over the past week, for the first time since it unilaterally removed its forces from Southern Lebanon in 2000, Israel took the initiative in its war with Iran's largest proxy force, Hezbollah,which controls Lebanon. The threat Hezbollah poses to Israel is orders of magnitude greater than the threat Hamas posed on Oct. 7. Hezbollah's arsenal, which numbers some 200,000 short- and medium-range rockets and ballistic missiles, is nearly 35 times larger than Hamas's arsenal of 6,000. Hezbollah's missiles are capableof hitting nearly every strategic military and industrial site in Israel. They are capable of laying waste to northern communities and devastating cities and towns throughout the country. And they are embedded in civilian neighborhoods. After the 2006 war, due to its control over the Lebanese government and military, Hezbollah oversaw the reconstruction of the areas in SouthernLebanon that were damaged and destroyed in the war. Hezbollah built the apartments as dual-use structures with missile launchers and missiles in many apartments. Residents received monthly payments for permitting their homes to be for this purpose. Since the start of the war, Hezbollah shot 8,000 such projectiles into northern Israel. They severely damaged several critical military installations. They destroyed hundreds of homes. Theyravaged the landscape of northern Israel, burning forests, as well as destroying nature and wildlife reserves from the Golan Heights to the Upper Galilee. If the missile arsenals weren't sufficient to keep Israel's north depopulated, there is also the conventional threat of Hezbollah's land forces. Citing U.S. and regional officials, The WallStreet Journal reported, "Those with knowledge of Hezbollah say the group accelerated its war preparations in recent months, expanding its network of tunnels in Southern Lebanon, repositioning fighters and weapons and smuggling in more arms. Iran has increasedsupplies of small arms and rocket-propelled grenades, along with guided and unguided long-range missiles." "The south is like a beehive right now," said a former Hezbollah military officer referring to the military preparations to the newspaper. "Everything the Iranians have, we have." Hezbollah' ground forces number some 40,000 men. Thousands in the so-called Radwan brigades are battle-hardened veterans of Iran's insurgent wars in Syria and Iraq. They have oceans of American,British, Iraqi and Syrian blood on their hands. Hezbollah's operational concept since Oct. 7 (basically since Israel removed its forces from Southern Lebanon in May 2000) has been attrition warfare. Hezbollah's massive and ever-growingarsenal deters Israel from getting into a major war with the terror army. At the same time, the terror group expands its effective control over northern Israel by gradually expanding the expanse of Israeli territory it can strike at will. In the past month,emboldened by Israel's largely defense posture since Oct. 7, Hezbollah has massively escalated its missile assault on Israel, increasing the number and range of the projectiles its forces shot over daily from a few to a couple dozen to between 60 and 120. Last week, it was the ingenious decapitation strikes that successfully targeted Hezbollah's operational leadership attributed to Israel involving the detonation of hand-held communicationsdevices that enabled Israel to seize the operational initiative for the first time since 2000. Its follow-on airstrikes against the commanders of the Radwan Force in Beirut decimated Hezbollah's senior ranks, leaving Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and hisbosses in Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps with a largely commander-less terror army. Israel's airstrikes on Monday against missiles and missile launchers in Southern Lebanon, Beirut and the Beqaa Valley, based on stunning intelligence superiority, reportedly devastated Hezbollah'sstrategic missile power. A diplomatic source divulged Tuesday morning that the air force's 1,400 hits destroyed half of Hezbollah's precision-guided missiles. The source claimed further that now, Hezbollah possesses only one-quarter of the rockets with rangesup to 40 kilometers it had at the start of the war. Critically, the source said that Hezbollah's capacity to launch coordinated missile strikes involving hundreds of projectiles simultaneously has been severely damaged. Hezbollah's operationalconcept throughout has been that in the event of an all-out war, it would swarm Israel with hundreds of projectiles simultaneously, overwhelming Israel's air-defense systems. If Israel has indeed taken out that capability, it means that Hezbollah's threatto Israeli territory is no longer existential. By achieving something approaching operational control over Gaza, blocking avenues of resupply by controlling the Philadephi corridor controlling the 14-kilometer border with Egypt and preventingthe reinforcement of Hamas's terror forces in northern Gaza by controlling the Netzarim corridor, Israel has been able to scale back its force size in Gaza. Israel's military Division 98, the main maneuver unit in Gaza, was moved to the north, providing theIDF both the means to prevent or defeat a Hezbollah invasion by land, including underground, border-crossing tunnels. Division 98 is also capable of carrying out incursions up to and including an invasion of Southern Lebanon if so commanded. Jerusalem's intelligence capabilities have enabled it to carry out the most precise airstrikes in history. Almost no ordnance has been wasted or misdirected. Thanks to the experience Israelhas garnered in Gaza over the past year, it has developed the capacity to give civilians an opportunity to vacate areas, including their apartments, housing missiles before striking, thus again, bringing the number of civilians killed nearly to zero. It is hard to ignore the global implications of what is happening on the ground. It isn't simply that Ibrahim Aqil, Hezbollah's operations commander who was killed at the leadership meetingin Beirut, had a $7 million FBI award on his head for his role in carrying out the 1983 bombings of the U.S. embassy and Marine barracks in Beirut in 1983 that murdered some 300 Americans, as well as 64 French paratroopers. Hezbollah is the most powerful and well-seeded terror force in the world. Its operational and financial tentacles reach throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America. An Israeli victory wouldmean that Hezbollah's threat worldwide would be massively diminished. Then there is Iran. For the past four years, Iran has moved steadily towards completing its nuclear weapons program. It is widely considered a threshold nuclear state. It is suspected of adaptingits missile force to carry nuclear warheads. To date, Hezbollah has served as Iran's protector. By using the prospect of an all-out combined missile strike and ground invasion of Israel from Lebanon as a deterrent, Iran was able to deter Israel from strikingits missile and nuclear installations or its oil platforms. Now with Hezbollah in the most vulnerable and weakest position it has suffered in decades--and Hamas effectively defeated as an offensive force--Iran faces the specter of an Israel free to destroyits nuclear and regional hegemonic ambitions. International law turned on its head And this brings us to the second half of the screen. As Israel fights the free world's fight against Iran and its terrorist forces, the nations of the world have congregated at the U.N. GeneralAssembly for their annual diplomatic lynch mob against the lone Jewish state. The General Assembly opened last week by passing a resolution demanding that Israel remove 800,000 citizens from their homes in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria within a year and transfertheir communities to the Palestinian Authority, which shares the goal of Iran and its other proxies to annihilate Israel. If Israel fails to abide by the U.N. dictate, or even if it does, the resolution calls on the U.N. member states to enact an arms embargo on Israel. Ant�nio Guterres, the U.N.'s Israel-hatingsecretary-general helpfully proclaimed that he will use his powers of office to enforce the resolution. It was all downhill from there. At the United Nations, in Paris, in Washington, policymakers and lawmakers have spared no effort to demonize Israel. President Joe Biden and Sheikh Mohamedbin Zayed Al Nahyan, president of the United Arab Emirates, met in Washington on Monday. Rather than congratulate (or thank) Israel for systematically removing the gravest threats to the stability and security of the Middle East, including to the UAE and theUnited States, Biden and MBZ focused their statements on demanding that Israel move to establish a Palestinian state in Gaza, Judea and Samaria--and Jerusalem. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and his fellow progressives in Congress responded with rage to the simultaneous detonation of Hezbollah's pages and walkie-talkies that took out thousands of terroristsin one fell swoop. They called it international terrorism and demanded a U.S. arms embargo on Israel. Even Leon Panetta, former secretary of defense, also called the strike that decimated the leadership of the most powerful terror army in the world a terrorattack. All of those clamoring to declare Israel the enemy of all that is good, and Hezbollah and Hamas as the good guys, predicate their condemnations on an entirely imaginary version of internationallaw that turns morality and the very concept of legality on their heads to punish defenders--or one specific defender, Israel--and reward aggressors. The dissonance between the reality on the ground and the diplomatic assault on Israel--now joined by nearly every nation on earth at the United Nations--presents Israel with an epic quandary. Obviously, it cannot scale back the level or nature of the assault with reason. People cannot be reasoned out of positions they weren't reasoned into. The international community's hostilitytowards Israel owes to a poisonous mix of political expedience, greed, opportunism and prejudice. And so, we come to the quandary. Can Israel afford to ignore these forces and just fight to victory or not? Can Israel afford not to ignore them? The Biden administration and its comrades at the United Nations are betting that Israel will decide that it cannot afford to ignore these voices. But in reaching this conclusion, they ignorethe one overriding factor that has informed Israel's actions since Oct. 7. This is a war for Israel's survival. Israelis back this war because they understand that the lesson of Oct. 7 is that the can has been kicked to the end of the road. Claims that we can stopand pick up where we left off in a year or so fall like artillery duds. No one will accept them because no one can accept them. It is literally now or never. And so the United Nations and the United States, and their diplomatic lynch mob, will be ignored. Maybe the diplomatic chips falling today can be picked up at a later date. But this war mustbe won. And after the stunning successes in Lebanon, more and more Israelis are reinforced in their conviction that it is being won. ---------------------------------
