President George H. Bush promoted the Madrid Peace Conference, where he attempted to divide the land of Israel in exchange for "peace" with the Palestinians.
 
1991 31 October - The Next Day - The Perfect Storm
 
A very rare huge storm starting in the north Atlantic, moving east to west (wrong direction for storms to move - although in the Bible, the Holy Spirit and history move east to west). This storm was so unusual and contrary to "mother nature" it was immortalized by the book The Perfect Storm by Sebastian Junger and later a popular movie. Amazon says of the book  The Perfect Storm, "Meteorologists called the storm that hit North America's eastern seaboard in October 1991 a "perfect storm" because of the rare combination of factors that created it. For everyone else, it was perfect hell. In The Perfect Storm, author Sebastian Junger conjures for the reader the meteorological conditions that created the "storm of the century" and the impact the storm had on many of the people caught in it." Coincidence?
 
Interestingly, one of the first places The Perfect Storm hit was Kennebunkport, Maine. Waves over 30 foot demolished the home of guess who - President George H. Bush, the instigator of the Oslo Accord.

President George H. Bush promoted and proudly signed the infamous Oslo Accord. The Oslo Accord was labeled a "Land for Peace" accord that demanded Israel award their land to the Palestinian murderers and terrorists in exchange for peace. The perverse Oslo proposition was simple: give us your land and we'll stop killing you.

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright finishes the final details of an agreement which requires Israel to surrender 13 percent of Yesha (Judah and Samaria). President Bill Clinton meets with Yasser Arafat and Netanyahu at the White House to finalize another Israel "land for peace" hoodwink. Later, Arafat addresses the United Nations and declares an independent Palestinian state by May 1999.
 
1998 28 September - Same Day - Hurricane George hits Gulf Coast
 
Hurricane George blasts the Gulf Coast with 110 mph winds and gusts up to 175 mph. The hurricane hit the coast and stalled until the agreement was finalized and Arafat addressed the UN. Then it hit and caused $1 billion in damage. At the exact time that Arafat departs the U.S., the storm begins to dissipate.
 
7. Land For Peace

Arafat and Netanyahu meet at the Wye River Plantation in Maryland. The talks are scheduled to last five days with the focus on Israel giving up 13 percent of Yesha. The talks are extended and conclude on October 23.
 
1998 17 October - Two days later - Tornadoes hit Texas
 
On October 17, heavy storms and tornadoes hit southern Texas. The San Antonio area is deluged with rain. The rain and flooding in Texas continue until October 22 and then subside. The floods ravage 25 percent of Texas and leave over one billion dollars in damage. On October 21, Clinton declares this section of Texas a major disaster area.

As I saw the thousands of homes destroyed, my mind kept going back to those U.S. ordered bulldozers destroying the Jewish homes in the Gaza Strip. As I saw the thousands and thousands of United States citizens being evacuated from their land, my mind could not keep from remembering the Jewish people crying and literally begging to stay in their land. America found no mercy for the Jewish people.
 
The God of Israel is neither slumbering nor sleeping, America should remember that.

On Capitol Hill, the Senate voted 93-4 to extend the  Terrorism Risk Insurance Act  (TRIA) created from the attack on 9/11 to coverage implemented through 2021.
 
The program currently allows for corporations to market commercial property and causality insurance under a provision of coverage for terrorist attacks.
 
This requirement is counter-balanced by the federal government's intercession of cash flow to insurers for losses incurred "under certain conditions".
 
The insurance corporations will front the first $100 million for the total losses. The insured will be responsible for a deductible equal to 10% of the initial premium based on the previous year's comparable insurance packages.
 
The  extension  increases the amount insurance corporations must pay up front with a co-pay of 20%.
 
Sponsor of the bill, Senator Chuck Schumer,  said : "In a post 9-11 world, developers and business owners embarking on multi-year, multi-million or billion dollar construction projects need to be certain they can insure their investments. At a time when our economy is not growing as robustly as we'd like, failing to renew (the program) would be particularly foolish. Without (the program), it's a virtual certainty that a large number of construction jobs and economic development would be lost."
 
House Representative Randy Neugebauer, sponsor of the House version of the Senate bill  claims  this extension "protects taxpayers from further Washington-sponsored risk."
 
The extension affords the federal government to ability to pay for damages up to $100 million incurred from an act of terrorism.
 
In a statement, President Obama said: "Terrorism insurance is necessary for a broad range of economic activities in areas across the country, and would be prohibitively expensive or unavailable in the absence of the program."
 
House Representative Jeb Hensarling  suggests  raising the bar of claimed monetary losses an insurance corporation can file to receive compensation.
 
Two years ago, the US House of Representatives passed  HR 6566  which is an amendment of the  Homeland Security Act of 2002  that imbues the administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) "to provide guidance and coordination for mass fatality planning, and for other purposes."
 
Elected officials assume that in such an event, funeral homes, cemeteries and mortuaries would be  overwhelmed  should millions of Americans suddenly die in a tragic event. There must also be allowances for survivors of such an event.
 
Representatives from local and state governments must coordinate with federal agencies, private sector businesses, non-profit organizations and appropriate individuals to prepare and respond to an incident wherein mass casualties occur.
 
In that same year, Department of Homeland Security (DHS)  released  a mysterious bacteria into the Boston subway system to "test" sensors that detect biological agents in a supposed terror drill.
 
In a DHS  press release , the agency said: "A rapid alert from a detection system can locate and identify these materials and provide for immediate and appropriate response to protect people and contain the hazard."
 
This scheme was planned in advance when it was announced that the bacteria B-subtilis was to be released in heavily populated and semi-contained areas like underground train stations; however this bacteria "has no adverse health effects for low exposure in healthy people."
 
Last year, the DHS initiated a 3 day  Portland Area Capabilities Exercise  (PACE) to train workers for a bioterrorism attack. Officials involved say that the drill, which simulates 50 venues and 65 jurisdictions across the state, is the largest terror drill they've participated in.
 
Should public health become an issue after a dirty bomb explosion be detonated, the  Washington County Emergency Management  (WCEM) would like to be sure they are prepared.
 
Scott Porter, director of WCEM said: "Exercises such as this are critical to identifying strengths and weaknesses in our response capabilities and to understanding the complexities of multi-state, multi-agency incident response operations."
 
In that same year, the Dorney Park & Wildwater KIndgom in central Pennsylvania was the scene of another  terror drill  in preparation for a terrorist attack.
 
The Northeast Pennsylvania Regional Counter Terrorism Task Force (PR-CTTF) planned an emergency preparedness drill wherein "a hazardous condition with multiple casualties during the peak of the park's summer season."
 
Robert Werts, manager of the PR-CTTF explained: "When an emergency occurs you always revert to the manner in which you have been trained, and during an emergency it's too late to exchange business cards. The goals of [the task force] are to provide training for emergency personnel who will respond to the dangerous conditions they confront and allow those persons to become familiar with the needs and operational abilities of other first responders prior to arriving at an actual emergency."
 
Also in 2013, Los Angeles Airport (LAX) officials  participated  in a "full scale aircraft disaster drill designed to test the airport's emergency response capabilities during a two-hour, unrehearsed exercise."
 
John Kinney, director of Emergency management at LAX said that "there will be some pyrotechnics associated with this because we're trying to simulate and create a sense of realism."

Before the world was made, even before sin entered into this world that was made, God predestined you. He chose you to be His child. We use phrases like "the day I found the Lord," and that is true in one sense. But in another sense, God chose us before we chose Him.
 
 Jesus said, "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain . . ." (John 15:16). God chose us before we ever were around to choose Him. We may wonder, What merit or goodness did He find in me that He would choose me to be His child? There was no merit. In spite of our best intentions or the high opinion we may hold of ourselves, God's choosing had nothing to do with our merit or goodness.
 
 If you knew what would happen before it took place, would you choose something that worked in your favor or against it? God knew exactly how you would turn out. And He chose you from the foundation of the world.
 
 You might say, "I think the Lord made a mistake here because I'm a loser." But God chose you to win. God chose you to be something that He will make you into. You may look at yourself and see your flaws and shortcomings, but just remember that you are still a work in progress.
 
 God isn't finished with you yet - not while your heart is still beating! And He will complete what He has begun in your life. So rejoice that He chose you from the foundation of the world.

In general, over the last several decades the world has experienced an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity.  The opening up of relations with China and the "end of the Cold War" resulted in an extended period of cooperation between east and west that was truly unique in the annals of history.  But now things are shifting.  The civil war in Ukraine and the crash of MH17 have created an enormous amount of tension between the United States and Russia, and many analysts believe that relations between the two superpowers are now even worse than they were during the end of the Cold War era.  In addition, the indictment of five PLA officers for cyber espionage and sharp disagreements over China's territorial claims in the South China Sea (among other issues) have caused U.S. relations with China to dip to their lowest point since at least 1989.  So could the emerging division between the east and the west ultimately plunge us into a period of global chaos?  And what would that mean for the world economy?
 
For as long as most Americans can remember, the U.S. dollar and the U.S. financial system have been overwhelmingly dominant.  But now the powers of the east appear to be determined to break this monopoly.  Four of the BRICS nations (China, Russia, India and Brazil) are on the list of the top ten biggest economies on the planet, and they are starting to make moves to become much less dependent on the U.S.-centered financial system of the western world.  For example, just last week the BRICS nations established two new institutions which are intended to be alternatives to the World Bank and the IMF...
 
So in their summit, from July 14 to 16, the five BRICS announced two major initiatives aimed squarely at increasing their power in global finance. They announced the launch of the New Development Bank, headquartered in Shanghai, that will offer financing for development projects in the emerging world. The bank will act as an alternative to the Washington, D.C.-based World Bank. The BRICS also formed what they're calling a Contingent Reserve Arrangement, a series of currency agreements which can be utilized to help them smooth over financial imbalances with the rest of the world. That's something the IMF does now.
 
Clearly, the idea is to create institutions and processes to supplement - and perhaps eventually supplant - the functions of those managed by U.S. and Europe. And they would be resources that they could control on their own, without the annoying conditions that the World Bank and the IMF always slap on their loans and assistance.
 
This comes at a time when both China and Russia are seeking to emphasize their own currencies and move away from using the U.S. dollar so much.
 
Even in the western media, it is being admitted that China's yuan is "a growing force in global finance", and according to CNBC the use of Chinese currency in international trade is growing very rapidly...
 
Of the German companies profiled, 23 percent are using the renminbi to settle trades, up from 9 percent last year, while usage in Hong Kong rose to 58 percent from 50 percent and to 17 percent from 9 percent in the U.S.
 
Usage of the renminbi among French companies - a new addition to this year's list - was high at 26 percent.
 
And of course Russia has been actively pursuing a "de-dollarization strategy" for months now.  Each new round of economic sanctions pushes Russia even further in the direction of independence from the U.S. dollar, and Gazprom has been working hard to get large customers to switch from paying for natural gas in dollars to paying for natural gas in euros and other currencies.  For much more on this, please see my previous article entitled "Russia Is Doing It - Russia Is Actually Abandoning The Dollar".
 
At this point, it seems clear that Russia plans to permanently decouple from the U.S. economy and the U.S. financial system.  Just today we learned that Vladimir Putin plans to make Russia less dependent on U.S. companies such as IBM and Microsoft, and any future rounds of sanctions are likely to cause even more damage to U.S. firms that do business in Russia.
 
But potentially much more troubling for the U.S. economy is the startling deterioration in the relationship between the Obama administration and China.  Some analysts are even describing this as "a tipping point"...
 
One day, the United States indicts five PLA officers for cybercrimes; the next, the United States claims victory in WTO disputes over car tariffs and rare earth minerals. All this is happening while the United States promises enduring support for Asian allies, and it has moved openly to challenge the legitimacy of Chinese territorial claims in the South China Sea. Meanwhile, China is busy creating facts on the ground and water. Last month, a $1 billion Chinese oil rig set up operations in territorial waters claimed by Vietnam. In the East China Sea, Chinese SU-27 fighter jets have come within 100 feet of Japanese surveillance aircraft.
 
This was all capped at the recent Shangri-La Asian Security dialogue in Singapore (Asia's annual defense-ministers meeting): Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel bluntly described China's behavior as "destabilizing, unilateral actions." The PLA deputy chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Wang Guanzhong, accused the United States of "hegemonism."
 
The mood has soured, more than the usual ups and downs of big-power relationships. The question now is not whether a "new type of relationship" is in the offing, but rather, whether U.S.-Chinese relations have reached a tipping point.
 
Most Americans could not care less about what China is doing in the South China Sea, but to the Chinese this is a very, very big deal.  In fact, China just sent a surveillance vessel to Hawaii as a bit of payback for what they regard as U.S. "provocations" in the region.
 
In the old days, China would have probably never have done such a thing.  But China is gaining confidence as the gap between the U.S. military and the Chinese military rapidly closes...
 
Away from the Chinese military's expanding capabilities in cyberspace and electronic warfare, Beijing is growing the size and reach of its naval fleet, advancing its air force and testing a host of new missiles, the Pentagon said Thursday.
 
An annual report to Congress on China's evolving military capability concluded that the modernization was being driven in part by growing territorial disputes in the East and South China seas, as well as by Beijing's desire to expand its presence and influence abroad.
 
In fact, the Chinese military has grown so powerful that we are now seeing headlines such as this one in The Week: "China thinks it can defeat America in battle".
 
And the Russian military has made tremendous strides as well. Putin has been working hard to modernize the Russian nuclear arsenal, the Russians now have a "fifth generation" fighter jet that is supposedly far superior to the F-22 Raptor, and they have nuclear submarines that are so incredibly quiet that the U.S. Navy refers to them as "black holes".
 
If Russia and China stay united, they are more than capable of providing a counterbalance to U.S. power around the globe.
 
But even if military conflict is not in our immediate future, the breakdown in relations between east and west could still have a dramatic impact on the global economy.
 
Over the years, the U.S. and China have developed a highly symbiotic relationship that fuels a tremendous amount of economic activity all over the planet.  Each year, we buy hundreds of billions of dollars of products from the Chinese.  Just imagine what our stores would look like if we took everything that was "made in China" out of them.  And after we send them giant piles of our money, we beg the Chinese to lend it back to us at ultra-low interest rates.  This arrangement has allowed China to become extremely wealthy and it has allowed Americans to enjoy a massively inflated standard of living fueled by ever increasing amounts of debt.
 
So what happens if this relationship starts breaking down?
 
Without a doubt, it could potentially lead to global chaos.
 
So keep a close eye on this emerging division between the east and the west.  It could end up being far more important than most Americans would ever dare to imagine.

The Merced Sun Star is carrying a lengthy story by McClatchy Washington Bureau's Jonathan Landay that attempts to analyze how the Islamic State (ISIS) seemed to appear out of no where and take over parts of Syria and Iraq. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Brett McGurk testified before a House committee February 5 (four months before ISIS was in the US public eye) that ISIS's operations "are calculated, coordinated and part of a strategic campaign...to collapse the Iraqi state and carve out a zone of governing control in western regions of Iraq and Syria." The White House obviously knew about ISIS and its goals long before it became a regional warring force.
 
Details emerged in June that the leader of the al Qaeda offshoot--Abu Duaa (now called Abu Bakr al Baghdadi among other aliases) was released in 2009 when the US "president" shut down the Bucca prison camp in Iraq. Abu sees both Syria and Iraq as an Islamic state, the beginning of a single al Qaeda caliphate, having recruited over 7,000 fighters and controlling large swaths of territory in Northeastern Syria and Northwestern Iraq. It was revealed further by Aaron Klein of WorldNetDaily and confirmed by Reuters and others that the White House authorized the training of dozens of ISIS members as part of covert aid to the insurgents targeting the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
 
Stating the obvious, California Republican Congressman Ed Royce is quoted as saying, "What started as a crisis in Syria has become a regional disaster with serious global implications." Congressman Royce and the others on Capitol Hill and in the Supreme Court might ought to suspend their disbelief that they are dealing with an incompetent "president" and wake up to reality. This US "president" embarked on a strategy to destabilize the Middle East from the onset of his administration, starting with his "New Beginnings" speech in June 2009. Arab Spring, Libya, Egypt, Syria and a host of other countries in the Middle East are now directly influenced by al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. Its not a crisis, it is a strategy.
 
The region of the traditional enemies of Israel is emboldened and strengthened by the US "president" like never before in history. We may well be witnessing the very beginnings of the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecies and many others throughout the scriptures taking shape before our very eyes. An Arab unifying caliphate is attempting to take hold. Islamic eschatology and Judeo-Christian eschatology may now be placed on a collision course. Islamic states that come against Israel--Ezekiel 38:2-13: Meshech (Turkey); Tubal (Turkey); Persia (Iran); Ethiopia (Sudan); Libya (Libya), Gomer (Turkey), Togarmah (Turkey); Sheba (Saudi Arabia); Dedan (Saudi Arabia): "To take a spoil, and to take a prey." 
 
The nation to watch is Turkey. Publicly, Turkey opposes ISIS. The Middle East Forum's Daniel Pipes, however, reports otherwise in a June 18 Washington Times article that said Turkey has paid $800 million to ISIS for oil shipments and has allowed ISIS access to its border with Syria. Pipes writes: "Actually, the Turks offered far more than an easy border crossing: they provided the bulk of ISIS' funds, logistics, training and arms. Turkish residents near the Syrian border tell of Turkish ambulances going to Kurdish-ISIS battle zones and then evacuating ISIS casualties to Turkish hospitals." There are deceivers and deceptions ongoing in this saga. It's time to know your eschatology that you are not deceived.
 
Foreign policy blunders with prophetic implications
 
Observing the current foreign policy of the occupant of the Oval Office, another president comes to memory whose foreign policy was instrumental in propping up Islam and advancing terrorism to its modern levels. Jimmy Carter played a role in deposing the Shah of Iran and assisting in the "democratic" installation of the Ayatollah governments. Even so, Carter paid a price for granting the Shah diplomatic immunity with a hostage crisis at the US Embassy in Tehran that paralyzed his already inept presidency for 444 days. In reality, this birthed the modern Islamic advance, spreading terrorism worldwide. It was further emboldened under Bill Clinton, and put on fast track with the current "president."
 
Carter was also instrumental in the gradual elevating of a third rate thug and plane hijacking terrorist to diplomatic status in Yassir Arafat--the head of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO). The PLO was an Islamic- and Soviet-backed terror organization whose mission was to drive Israel into the sea. Carter brokered a failed peace agreement called the Camp David Accords. This agreement was between Israel and Egypt and served as a framework to deal with the so-called Palestinian territories and established the concept of land for peace. Years later in 1990, Carter met with Arafat and described him as a leader who did everything he could "to promote the peace process."
 
Certainly, Bill Clinton saw Arafat as a peace partner. A May 3, 1996 article in the Baltimore Sun reported: "MANY AMERICANS have difficulty accepting Yasser Arafat, president of the Palestinian Authority, as a member of civil society, much less an honored guest at the White House. This is the rogue terrorist who packed a gun at the United Nations, the world revolutionary and would-be destroyer of Israel. But there he was, Wednesday, neatly groomed beneath his trademark headscarf, polite and smiling, greeted by President Clinton with the most decorous courtesy." It was widely reported that Arafat became the most frequent foreign guest at the Clinton White House.
 
The current "president" has far outpaced the ill-fated foreign policy of his Democratic predecessors. He has overseen the building up of Islam as a seemingly step by step strategy, making up for Carter's incompetency and Clinton's poor judgment. This "president" encouraged and funded the Arab Spring, trained members of the current Islamic State that his taking over parts of Syria and Iraq, and persecuting Christians, and he has supported Islam at the expense of traditional ally Israel almost exclusively. The handiwork of these three presidents has deep prophetic implications.
 
Their policies may have accelerated the prophetic revival of an end time Caliphate--Islamic states that come against Israel--Ezekiel 38:2-13: Meshech (Turkey); Tubal (Turkey); Persia (Iran); Ethiopia (Sudan); Libya (Libya), Gomer (Turkey), Togarmah (Turkey); Sheba (Saudi Arabia); Dedan (Saudi Arabia): "To take a spoil, and to take a prey." Speaking of Gog, the antichrist, verse 17 says, "Thus says the Lord God; Art you he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?" Whether strategic or stupid, these three presidents used America to strengthen Israel's enemies and perhaps advance the prophecy clock.

Why are so many plagues hitting the United States all of a sudden?  Yes, one can always point out bad stuff that is happening somewhere in the country, but right now we are facing a nightmarish combination of crippling drought, devastating wildfires, disastrous viruses, dying crops and superbugs that scientists don't know how to kill.  And as you will see, we even have a plague of flies down in Mississippi.  So what in the world is going on?  Is this just a case of bad luck, or is something else happening?  At the conclusion of this article, please feel free to tell me what you think.  The following are ten plagues that are hitting America right now...
 
#1 The Plague Of Flies In The Upper Mississippi River Valley
 
This is perhaps the least dangerous plague, but it is also one of the most interesting.  Just recently, a plague of flies was so thick in the upper Mississippi River valley that it showed up on radar...
 
The mayflies were detectable on radar around 845 pm and reports in the towns and cities began rolling in of the swarming and piles of mayflies. Numerous videos and pictures were circulating on social media, some of which are posted below as well.
 
The radar detected the flies about 845 pm, emanating from the river (the source) with echo values similar to that of light-moderate rain (35-40 dBZ). With a general south-to-north wind flow above the surface, the mayflies quickly moved north once in the air. As the flies dispersed moving north-northeast, they also gained altitude with some of the echo being detected as far north as Black River Falls and as high as 2500 feet above ground.
 
By late evening, mayflies were swarming in La Crosse, La Crescent, Stoddard and points up and down the river. While the emergence of mayflies from their river bottom mud dwelling can occur at various times through the warm season depending on the species, this particular emergence was that of the larger black/brown Bilineata species.
 
 
#2 The Chikungunya Virus
 
As I wrote about the other day, down in Florida health officials have discovered the very first confirmed cases of the chikungunya virus to be transmitted locally.  In other words, it is now being passed to people that have not even traveled out of the country.
 
An epidemic of the virus has already been declared down in Puerto Rico, and authorities are deeply concerned about the possibility of one up here as well.
 
Already, cases of the virus have been reported in 30 different states and the total number of cases in the U.S. is more than five times higher than in any other recent year.
 
If you live in an area that has a lot of mosquitos, you might want to be very, very careful right about now because this is a virus that is exceedingly painful...
 
With illness onset, the person develops high fever, chills, and joint pain, followed in some by a rash on the trunk, limbs and face lasting 3-4 days. Muscle and joint pain last about one week. Joint pain is often severe and in some people lasts longer, up to several months.
 
#3 The Wildfires Out West
 
The massive wildfires in Washington, Oregon and western Canada have spread clouds of smoke over vast areas of the northwest United States in recent days.  The following excerpt comes from a recent CNN report...
 
 
Wildfires spanning almost 170,000 acres are driving hundreds of people from their homes in Washington state and across the border in Canada, officials said.
 
Washington authorities say the fires surged overnight to 168,713 acres in the state. The flames have encroached on towns.
 
Janet Pearce of the Washington state Department of Natural Resources said the four fires had not been contained as of Friday morning. An estimated 80 homes were destroyed and cell phone service was knocked out.
 
#4 The Drought In California
 
The nightmarish multi-year drought in the state of California just continues to get even worse.
 
This week it was reported that 81 percent of California is now experiencing "extreme drought" or worse.
 
Three months ago, that number was just 68 percent.
 
And we are being told that downtown Los Angeles is now the driest that it has been since rain records began in 1877.

#5 The Virus That Has Killed Millions Of Our Pigs
 
A horrific pig virus known as porcine epidemic diarrhea came over from China a little over a year ago.
 
Since then, it has killed about 7 million pigs, and approximately 100,000 more are dying each week.
 
#6 Citrus Greening
 
Have you ever heard of citrus greening disease?
 
Perhaps not, but it has gotten so bad down in Florida that experts are now saying that the entire citrus industry in the state "could be destroyed"...
 
"It's horrible - it's a disaster," says Fred Gmitter, a professor of horticulture science at the University of Florida Citrus Research and Education Center.
 
It might be time to kiss your OJ goodbye, unless science steps in to save the day.
 
At least 70% of Florida's citrus trees are already infected by the disease, known as citrus greening, huanglongbing, or occasionally just with an ominous "it," as in "It's here."
 
Florida's citrus crop this year is the lowest it's been in 30 years, and agricultural authorities have continued to lower their production estimates. Orange-juice prices are up nearly 20% this year alone and will continue to rise. The disease was a major factor in the lime shortage that made the price of a box of Persian limes jump from $18 to $85 last December. Prices could jump higher for oranges. Researchers and growers say that if a cure isn't found, the entire $9 billion Florida citrus industry could be destroyed.
 
#7 Bananas Going Extinct?
 
You bananas are not safe either.
 
According to CNBC, the TR4 fungus is spreading so rapidly that it could eventually totally wipe out the variety of bananas that we find in our grocery stores today...
 
Banana lovers take note: The world's supply of the fruit is under attack from a fungus strain that could wipe out the popular variety that Americans eat.
 
"It's a very serious situation," said Randy Ploetz, a professor of plant pathology at the University of Florida who in 1989 originally discovered a strain of Panama disease, called TR4, that may be growing into a serious threat to U.S. supplies of the fruit and Latin American producers.
 
"There's nothing at this point that really keeps the fungus from spreading," he said in an interview with CNBC.
 
While there are nearly 1,000 varieties of bananas, the most popular is the Cavendish, which accounts for 45 percent of the fruit's global crop-and the one Americans mostly find in their supermarkets.
 
#8 The Number Of Earthquakes Is Increasing
 
For a long time, scientists tried to deny that the number of earthquakes is increasing.
 
But now, the USGS is finally admitting that the number of big earthquakes has doubled...
 
If you think there have been more earthquakes than usual this year, you're right. A new study finds there were more than twice as many big earthquakes in the first quarter of 2014 as compared with the average since 1979.
 
"We have recently experienced a period that has had one of the highest rates of great earthquakes ever recorded," said lead study author Tom Parsons, a research geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Menlo Park, California.
 
Fortunately, most of the earthquakes in the U.S. so far this year have been relatively small or have been in isolated areas.
 
But they have been popping up in very unusual areas (such as Oklahoma), and as seismic activity along the Ring of Fire continues to increase, it is probably only a matter of time before one of our major cities gets hit with a major tragedy.
 
#9 Superbugs
 
Thanks at least in part to the massive overuse of antibiotics, a new generation of superbugs is arising.  Scientists have no way to kill these superbugs, and according to experts they are finding their way "into healthcare facilities nationwide"...
 
Drug-resistant superbug infections have reached near-epidemic levels across U.S. hospitals, with an alarming 500% increase now documented in a study just published in the August issue of Infection Control and Hospital Epidemiology (the journal of the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America).
 
Lead author of the study, Dr. Joshua Thaden, warned "This dangerous bacteria is finding its way into healthcare facilities nationwide... A CRE epidemic is fast approaching... Even this marked increase likely underestimates the true scope of the problem given variations in hospital surveillance practices."
 
The study also found that an astonishing 94 percent of CRE infections were caused by healthcare activities or hospital procedures.
 
#10 Fukushima
 
The Fukushima nuclear disaster is the gift that just keeps on giving.
 
Hundreds of tons of radioactive water are being released into the Pacific on a continual basis, and this could potentially affect our oceans and our food chain for generations to come.
 
But it is a "slow motion disaster" that is already "old news", so most Americans don't think about it anymore.  But the truth is that there is a lot of evidence that it should be taken very seriously in this country.  For much more on this, please see this article.
 
In Japan, of course, things are even worse.
 
In fact, one Japanese doctor that was working in Tokyo says that radiation sickness is rampant in that city...
 
Since December 2011, I have conducted thyroid ultrasound examinations, thyroid function tests, general blood tests and biochemical tests on about 2000 people, mostly families in the Tokyo metropolitan area expressing concerns on the effects of radiation. I have observed that white blood cells, especially neutrophils, are decreasing among children under the age of 10. There are cases of significant decline in the number of neutrophils in 0-1 year-olds born after the earthquake (<1000). In both cases, conditions tend to improve by moving to Western Japan (Neutrophils 0->4500). Patients report nosebleed, hair loss, lack of energy, subcutaneous bleeding, visible urinary hemorrhage, skin inflammations, coughs and various other non-specific symptoms.
 
And this Japanese doctor believes that things are so dire that he says that the entire city of Tokyo should be evacuated...
 
Residents of Tokyo are unfortunately not in the position to pity the affected regions of Tohoku because they are victims themselves. Time is running short. I took an earlier step forward and evacuated to the west. My fellow doctors of medicine, I am waiting for you here. And to the people in Eastern Japan still hesitating, all my support goes to facilitating and enabling your evacuation, relocation, or a temporary relief in Western Japan.
 
Just like with Chernobyl, this radioactive material is going to silently make people sick and kill people all over globe for years to come, and most of them will never have any idea what is really happening to them.

War-Induced Insanity


 
Is the entire world certifiably insane when it comes to Jews defending themselves?
 
It has never happened in the history of wars, other than the ones fought by the Israeli Jews in defense of their homeland and their lives. The conduct of Hamas and certain media outlets is overwhelmingly insane. It is a unique phenomenon.
 
The list below is by no means complete. Readers are free to complement it with their own observations.
 
Insanity 1: The Iron Dome missile defense system-developed and deployed by Israel to protect its citizens from Hamas rocket fire-has been saving hundreds of Palestinian Arab  lives. Had Hamas been successful in inflicting massive casualties and property damage on the Jewish State, the Israeli response would have been much less restrained. It would have comprised an early land invasion accompanied by considerably more aggressive bombing resulting in many more Palestinian casualties.
 
Insanity 2: Israel has been warning Palestinian civilians in Gaza of an oncoming attack, telling them-by a phone calls followed by a warning shot-to move away from the intended target so that they would not get hurt. Now, Hamas complains that in some instances the phone calls did not get through, or that the warning shot was not loud enough.
 
They did not mention that they have exploited some of these warnings to beef up and cover their fighters and rockets with added human shield.
 
Insanity 3: Israel is not immune from the general insanity. As rocket fire, aimed at the civilian population, has been raining on Israeli towns, the Jews continued to deliver electricity, fuel, building materials, food, water and many other essentials to those who try to kill them, facilitating and enabling  their lethal aggression. Palestinian rockets have hit two electricity lines that feed Gaza.
 
Come on Jew-boys. Don't you want to risk your lives, fix these lines under fire; provide these terrorists with the luxury of electric power? Are you not sufficiently insane?
 
Insanity 4: Over a week ago Hamas was shooting rockets at Israel while the Netanyahu government was reluctant to respond aggressively. "Quiet will be met with quiet," Israel claimed. But to no avail. Egypt's proposed a ceasefire arrangement was accepted by Israel; rejected by Hamas. And they still refer to Israel as the aggressor.
 
Insanity 5: Hamas's rocket attack has proved ineffective in the face of the Iron Dome defense system. It played like a high school date-all promise but no delivery. At the same time, Israeli response inflicted casualties and caused massive damage to Hamas infrastructure. Still, Hamas refuses to accept a ceasefire proposal. They seem to live in a vast and unceasing crescendo.
 
They act like a compulsive gambler who continues to place bets hoping to recover his earlier massive losses, only to fall deeper and grow to be more broke. They are the loser of this escalation, but they keep playing the macho game, placing aggressive and outrageous demands in front of any potential ceasefire deal. They must not have reconciled to the new reality-they have not won this war.
 
Insanity 6: (Quoting Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu),"Israel uses their missiles to protect their children. Hamas uses their children to [shield and] protect their missiles."
 
The world turns a blind eye to Hamas's double war crime. Oh, I must have missed it. Palestinians are excused. It must be that a Palestinian-committed war crime is not a war crime. Their intent to commit genocide, to kill Israeli civilians, to hide behind their own folks is what they call "Resistance..."
 
Insanity 7: It was not intended as a joke, and I'm not kidding. Hamas accused Israel of agreeing to Tuesday'sshort-lived cease-fire in order to legitimize further air strikes on Gaza after Hamas rejected the plan. 
 
Al Jazeera discussed how the Gaza bombardment further traumatized Palestinian children suffering from PTSD without mentioning the fact that Hamas has been inflicting the same suffering on Israeli children. What's more, al Jazeera has claimed that Hamas continued to retaliate for Israeli attacks rather than the fact that Hamas initiated these hostilities. The simple word "retaliate" is a premeditated implication suggesting that Israel is the aggressor in this war.
 
On the other hand, another al Jazeera reporter has compared Israel's careful and considerate conduct of war-when it comes to caring for civilian lives- to the ones exercised by the Syrian regime. The reporter dared its Arab readers to go and learn from the Israelis.
 
Insanity 8: Panel discussions on the Sunday talk shows across all of American major TV networks revolved around the war in Gaza. Several panelists blamed the eruption (of rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas) on the breakdown in the two-state solution peace negotiations.
 
Their brains must have been operating at half speed. Their ignorance prevented these panelists from seeing that Hamas was never a party to negotiations, has never been interested in a two-state solution; the terrorist organization's sole objective has always been a single state, cleansed of Jews. Hamas got what they wanted out of the breakdown in the peace negotiations. There was no reason for them to go insane in consequence.
 
Or, it may be that this is what insanity is all about.
 
Insanity 9:  Referring to Israel's "Occupation" is a term designed to mislead. On the one hand it implies that Gaza is an Israeli occupied land-it is NOT! Israel left Gaza in 2005. On the other hand it reassures the Palestinians since it underlines the false promise of homecoming a.k.a. the right of return to their non-existent homes in Israel.
 
Insanity 10: It's not about the 1967 6-day war. It's about the 1948 war of independence (also known by Hamas as the Nakba). It is not about "occupation"; it is about anti-Semitism. It is not about happier lives, better economy, or better standard of living for the Palestinians; it's about culture.
 
Hamas believes that vests come in two styles: bullet-proof and suicide. They consider music dangerous, but routinely carry explosives in their clothing. They have nothing against women and think every man should own at least one.
 
Insanity 11: It is an unprecedented phenomenon of world history of wars and refugees. 66 years after Israel's war of independence Hamas and the world still refer to Gaza neighborhoods as refugee camps.  The Palestinians pretend to refuse settling down, investing and improving their standard of living.   It's almost as if their sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.
 
Insanity 12: They are shooting rockets at Jerusalem; Luckily, Iron Dome might have prevented a hit on their cherished al Aqsa Mosque, and on some Palestinian neighborhoods. They are shooting rockets at Hevron, a Palestinian city, while its Arab residents, instead of running for shelter, stand outside and cheer. They have shot rockets at Beer Sheba and finally scored-two Bedouin Arab girls were wounded in the attack.
 
Insanity 13: Many who oppose Israel's arms blockade of Gaza claim that the territory is "an open-air prison" and "the most densely populated place on earth." Fact is-population density in Gaza is 4600 per square km. Population density in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem is over 7500 and 6000 per square km respectively. Population density in Manhattan is over 26,000 people per square km.
 
That first lie concerning the"most densely populated place" is preceded by the "open-air prison" lie. Gazans hold the keys to the so-called "prison" gates. Once they change their attitude and try to live in peace with Israel, there will be no need for imposing an arms blockade; they will enjoy free movement; they will be allowed to build an international airport and a seaport on their territory. It's not a prison if you can open the gates with your own keys. It is a self-imposedsegregation.
 
Insanity 14: Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas prime minister, is possibly an Israeli spy. How else can you explain the fact that his house is still standing, whereas most Hamas's leaders' houses have turned into rubble; how can you explain that his mother in-law, and then granddaughter were admitted to Israeli hospitals in critical conditions, that Israel gets the drift of every move around him? Yes. His nephews were killed by an Israeli bomb, but what you don't know is that they might have been up on their uncle's dual personality. Haniyeh served time in Israeli prison for several disjoined periods. While there, he had close and personal contact with Israeli security agents. Go figure.
