Gov. Nikki Haley Will Be There
The time is running out for you to meet Nikki Haley. Governor Haley was at the very first RedState Gathering. We rallied after that Gathering to get her elected. And we've been supporting her ever since. Gov. Haley has also been to just about every RedState Gathering.

This year she is in the middle of her re-election campaign. But she wants to meet you guys and will be joining us in Fort Worth, TX. Register now to meet Governor Haley. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Huffington Post: Too many Catholics on the Supreme Court
You scratch a progressive and you find an fascist. That has been the lesson learned from the Hobby Lobby decision. One of the most notable bits of fascist commentary appeared in the Huffington Post by an anti-religious bigot named Ronald A. Lindsay, The Uncomfortable Question: Should We Have Six Catholic Justices on the Supreme Court? . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

White House Press Secretary confesses to continuing gender pay inequity at White House
Nice of them to admit to it, finally. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

VIDEO: Lessons from Lois Lerner
The IRS is one of the most feared agencies in the federal government.  It's dogged demands for diligent record keeping make even the most organized, detailed accountants shake in their boots.

But Lois Lerner cracked the code.  Through her example, we see exactly how everyday Americans should be handling things when the IRS comes a knocking. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Obama is the worst President since World War II
A new Quinnipiac poll finds that voters now say Obama is the worst president since World War II.

Obama is less popular than President George W. Bush. Voters, by a 45 to 38 percent margin, say the country would be better off if Mitt Romney had won the 2012 presidential election.

Ronald Reagan is considered the best president since WWII. It isn't even close. Reagan was selected by 35 percent. President Clinton came in second with only 18 percent. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

There is no moral equivalence between Israel and Palestinian groups
Moral equivalence between Israel and the Palestinian leaders turns a blind eye to many things, but the main things are innocence and intent.

Three innocent sixteen-year-olds were murdered.  Israel mourns.  Without question, this was a hate crime.  A crime of opportunity to kidnap Israeli boys, which went bad when the kidnappers realized one had called the police.  They were killed in cold blood. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Ted Cruz Blasts Hamas. Obama Urges "Restraint"
One of the biggest news stories of the past week is the discovery of the bodies of three Israeli teens who had been kidnapped back in mid-June. Israel, meanwhile, has begun retaliating. Ted Cruz has been particularly vocal in his support of the teens' mothers and Israel's efforts to find them since the kidnapping happened, even taking to the Senate floor to blast Hamas for their actions (and this was before they were found dead). His response to the discovery of their bodies was similarly strong, saying in a press release . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Jim DeMint Will Be At The RedState Gathering
We would not be doing a lot of what we are doing had Jim DeMint of South Carolina not stood up and led the grassroots in its fight for smaller government. Senator DeMint was willing to tell his own party no long before many in Washington were.

Not only was he willing to tell his party no, he was willing to fight to get like minded conservatives elected to Congress. Having seen Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and others join the fight in Washington, Senator DeMint moved to the Heritage Foundation where he now leads a revolution of ideas within the conservative movement.

I'm so pleased and honored that Senator DeMint would join us at the RedState Gathering this year. Please register now and come meet him. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

REMEMBER MISSISSIPPI:  FEC Now Looking Into Pro Cochran SuperPAC
Not only do we have allegations of vote buying in the Mississippi GOP Senate runoff, we now have the federal agency in charge of elections looking into whether this SuperPac with ties to the Barbour clan violated the law. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Hysteria, Thy name is Woman

Speaker John Boehner reiterates earmark ban
The problem with earmarks is very simple: it encourages Members of Congress to think of the budget as their private piggy bank from which to reward loyal constituents. The lack of that semi-traditional largess is probably one major reason why current Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid wants all of us to die in a grease fire, and I for one am well-pleased by his reaction. I'm not fond of Harry Reid, either. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Obama Responds to Hamas Terrorists' Murder of US Teen with "Strongest Possible" Meaningless Words
Hamas terrorists kidnapped and killed three Israeli teenagers, one of whom was a U.S. citizen.

These jihadist terrorists murdered kids.  Yet, the reaction of the Obama Administration has been an absolute disgrace.

Remember, a U.S. citizen was just murdered (along two other Israeli teens) by Palestinian terrorists - known brutal terrorist who routinely fire rockets at Israeli civilians - and the Obama Administration responded by urging restraint.

In fact, President Obama actually urged "all parties to refrain from steps that could further destabilize the situation." . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Obama assails GOP on immigration and says he'll go it alone
John Boehner seems to have abandoned the plan that we heard so much about earlier in the year, i.e. waiting until after the primary season to push the noxious Senate comprehensive immigration reform law, and decided that the GOP base is simply not in the mood to move such a monumental bill under a president who is so disdainful of the law of the land.

Unable to bully the House GOP into signing on to a massive, amnesty-heavy immigration bill, the administration has manufactured a humanitarian crisis to change the facts on the ground, an exercise which, like Fast & Furious, seems to have run away from them, Obama is continuing with the "blame Congress" campaign he unveiled in Minneapolis last Friday.

Yesterday, Obama waited until Rush Limbaugh was safely off the air and lambasted the GOP for not giving him what he wants . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

New Allegations Point to Cochran Campaign in Mississippi Senate Vote Buying Scandal
An audio interview has surfaced in which the interviewee claims that he was to be paid by the Cochran camp to grease voters in the Mississippi GOP Senate runoff election. The audio interview, which coincides with a separate audio recording and batch of evidence produced by the newly launched GotNews.com, a project by Charles C. Johnson, alleges that the Cochran campaign conspired with a Mississippi Reverend to buy the votes of African American voters, who happen to be democrats.

Before I get into the weeds of what is in the audio interview and transcript, which are both below, let me set up the stage a bit. What is alleged to have occurred is illegal and very serious business. Under Mississippi law the alleged crimes could lead to Thad Cochran being removed from the Senate. Everything that follows comes from sources either on the ground in Mississippi, or those working closely with them. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Thank You David and Barbara Green and Anthony Hahn
Christianity is a religion of the public square. Followers of Christ are called to glorify Him in all aspects of their life, including their vocation. In fact, Christians are to view their jobs as a ministry.

David and Barbara Green have done exactly that. They created a business called Hobby Lobby and they poured their hearts, their sweat, and their faith into it. They treat their employees vastly better than many similarly situated businesses. They pay more, close early so their employees can be with their families longer, and close on Sunday. They share their faith in their advertising and their store practices. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

The White House Does Not Understand What Happened in the Hobby Lobby Case
It is not surprising that most leftist commentators are completely missing the boat on the Hobby Lobby decision. After all, one does not become a writer for The Nation or Mother Jones or DailyKos by being smart or knowledgeable. What's troubling is that the White House seems equally clueless as to what actually happened today - although it's still up in the air whether this is by incompetence or design. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Russia sends aircraft and trainers to Iraq
The net result of Barack Obama's "leading from behind" has been a vacuum that our adversaries have rushed to fill. Three nations in particular - China, Russia, and Iran - have used our lack of attention to arrogate power and influence to themselves. China, of course, is in a class by itself. Its size, wealth, and location would indicate to a sane administration that it needs close attention. While China acts in its own self-interests it doesn't do so recklessly. What is more troubling is the pairing of Russia and Iran as allies in rolling back American influence. When coupled with Obama's hubris and bonejarring naivete this alliance is potentially disastrous. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

First Post-Hobby Lobby Decision Halts Abortion-Pill Mandate for Nonprofit
In the first post-Hobby Lobby decision issued by an appellate court, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals has granted an injunction, halting the HHS Mandate, to a nonprofit religious organization.

The key aspect of this new decision is that the Supreme Court's Hobby Lobby decision was confined to for-profit businesses; this decision is the first application of the Supreme Court's ruling upholding religious liberty to cases involving nonprofits.  It marks another step towards the abortion-pill mandate's defeat. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

The Hobby Lobby Decision and the Misleading Language of the Left
Many hours have passed since the Supreme Court made its ruling on the Hobby Lobby case.  And as we all know, the Leftist media and Twitterverse has been apoplectic since then, spewing the same tired invective that it usually does when a ruling like this doesn't go its way.  Let's take a look at a few of the key themes that are out there today, shall we?

First, we have the "denying access to birth control" meme, perpetuated by none other than Senator Elizabeth Warren . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Help Chris McDaniel Investigate Election Fraud
I hope you might consider donating to Chris McDaniel to help his campaign investigate the possibility that the election was stolen.

There appear to be documented irregularities of, for example, Democrats who voted in the Democratic primary voting in the Republican runoff. That's against the rules. Photographic evidence of the ballot books suggest it happened.

We need to help Chris. We know the GOP Establishment pushed Democrats to vote. It was an open primary and they were allowed to. But Democrats who voted in their own Democratic primary cannot vote in the Republican runoff. We need to help Chris investigate the irregularities of the election.

Please consider donating. Remember Mississippi and fight the establishment. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Slow bleeding the GOP Establishment
Most of the 2014 primaries are behind us and the GOP establishment is crowing about its victory of conservatives. Lest you think it is unusual for a party establishment to celebrate winning the primary elections in its own party, you have to realize that the GOP establishment has become essentially the same as the Democrats: same goals, just different paymasters. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Obama's excellent YOLO presidency continues
In a rather stunning interview with Bill Clinton political strategist and totally unbiased newsman, George Stephanopoulous, Barack Obama revealed that it is the World Cup, not events, driving his foreign policy agenda . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Obama blames GOP for his failed presidency
If ever one needed proof of the unsuitability of Barack Obama for the presidency, that proof was visible for the world to see today in Minneapolis. Accusing the GOP of a "block me and call me names strategy," Obama may have thought he was "going Bulworth" but he was really unleashing his spoiled, petulant two year old. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Hope or Despair. Your Choice.
After last week's primary loss in Mississippi many conservative activists, who have tried to work within the GOP system, have begun to question the utility of voting for the GOP candidate in the General Election. We've already seen calls to back Travis Childers in Mississippi, as well as open debate as to whether conservatives will support Mitch McConnell in Kentucky. Unfortunately, these discussions are justified because of how the campaigns were run. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Obama seeks to expand US aid to Syrian rebels
A few weeks ago the blog, DuffelBlog, carried a funny send up on the Obama administration's foreign policy called Special Forces Soldier Excited To Train Men Who Will Try To Kill Him In Five Years. But if there has been one "war" this administration has been successful at waging it has been the war on parody.

As hard as it may be to believe, Barack Obama is asking Congress to appropriate money to arm rebels in Syria . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Democrats vs. The First Amendment
In a lot of ways, it's hard to discern an identifiable platform for the Democratic Party nowadays, but one thing they have openly and uniformly stood for recently has been opposition to the First Amendment. Harry Reid can't open his mouth these days without some complaint about the Koch Brothers exercising their right to free speech falling out of it. Reid and 42 other Democrat Senators are currently on record co-sponsoring a Constitutional Amendment to curtail the exercise of Free Speech and eviscerate the First Amendment. Yesterday, the Supreme Court unanimously struck down a blatantly unconstitutional attempt by Democrats in Massachusetts to muzzle the free speech rights of pro-life protesters. Democrats across the country have continued a headlong assault on religious liberty and free association rights in connection with contraception mandates and SSM ceremonies for years. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?

Will The Real Bob Barr Stand Up?
Two days ago, in response to a question from D. A. King, the president of the Dustin Inman Society, former congressman, Libertarian presidential candidate, and current Republican congressional candidate Bob Barr said he would work to pass federal legislation that mandated the use of E-Verify for all employers nationwide. . . . please click here for the rest of the post ?
